3 out of 4 of their pool games to qualify second for the Finals. In the Semi-Final, they faced Lane Cove West and the girls took an early lead and were soon well in control through to the end of the match, to book a place in the Grand Final. Here our chargers came up against a very confident looking Glenorie side. This was further enhanced when they scored the first try, however, our girls levelled the score and quickly built up a lead of two tries. Through committed defence, some fantastic individual efforts and an all-round awesome team performance, the girls finished the match 5-3 winners and Junior Champions of North Sydney. It was great to watch the camaraderie the girls showed on the day and to see how proud they were of their achievement, I know I was extremely proud! Congratulations girls! Brad Keyes.
