Your choice of Accommodation

Host family accommodationHorizons du Monde has been offering host family accommodation in France and many other countries for

over 30 years and have built up an enviable reputation for the quality of host families. All our host families are

carefully selected and regularly visited to ensure a maximum level of safety and comfort.

Living in a host family is an ideal and fun way to experience a new culture and discover the people and their

way of life. Students and group leaders are immersed in the family’s everyday life, which is the perfect vector

to keep building up language skills outside of the classroom.

Our homestays areas are ideally located in safe environments and close to major cities which allows easy ac-

cess to all major sights and attractions of the area. Students are accommodated in pairs or triples depending

on the size of the group. Although we may be able to accommodate some students on their own, this is nor-

mally on request and subject to availability.

Hotels & ResidencesHotels stays are normally on a Bed and Breakfast basis in 2, 3 or 4 stars hotel. Please let us know your prefe-

rences so we can pick just the right place. Half board and full board options are available in selected loca-

tions.

We have also developed partnerships with a range of student friendly Youth Hostel / Residence style accom-

modation. These have been carefully chosen for their suitability to accommodate our school groups. This type

of accommodation offers a perfect solutio n if you require a more independent stay. Single, twins and multiple-

bedded rooms are available in most locations.

Your choice of Programme Because your motivations and your projects all are differents,

we offer 3 differents types of trips. That you contact us to organize only your transpor tation and hosting, or so that we provide

you a total assistance, we have the stay you need !

School integrationSchool integration gives your students the opportunity to experience a typical school day

in their chosen destination. This option includes a half day or a full day in a French «Col-

lège» or «Lycée». The students sit in different classes of the school and participate to the

lessons as a regular French student. According to the size of your group and the program

location, students may be spread over several schools of the homestay area. Call us to

find out which destinations offer this !

Language LessonsLanguages Lessons are tought by native teachers and be planned according to your

group’s particular and requirements. You can specify what you would like your group to

study and how many lessons you would like. Lessons normally take place for up to 3

hours every morning in closed groups of 12-15 students per class.

We have also developed relationships with Languages School «Qualité Français Langue

Etrangère» (FLE) Label in most of our homestays areas.

All inclusiveThis is our standard offer. Because we know that, during the trip, one has more to think

than added cost and last-minute organization, our standard rates cover all components

of the stay and everything is pre-booked and paid well in advance :

• Accommodation

• Meals

• Transportation (transfers, coaches, public transportation...)

• Excursions and visits

• Classes

• Escorts and guides (when needed)

Four-to-One programs are possible upon request for closed groups: each student live individually in a host family. The les-

and study as a French student in a Secondar y School.

Our partner private boarding schools, host international exchange students on a regular basis as part of the school policy

and educational goals. They extend a warm welcome to our students and grant them special care and attention as long as

they show their willingness to face the challenge of integrating to the school routine and manage with all classes being

taught in French.

During the week, Monday to Friday, the students are boarders (accommodation in small dorms) and actively participate to

the social and academic life of the school. Week-ends and mid-term school

weeks will be offered. Cost not included in the price of the program.
