Prep: 30 minutesBake: 50 Minutes at 375ºF

Ingredients

1 pound sweet or hot Italian sausage1 pound lean ground beef1/2 cup minced onion2 cloves garlic, crushed1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste2 (6.5 ounce) cans canned tomato sauce1/2 cup water2 tablespoons white sugar1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil leaves1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds1 teaspoon Italian seasoning1 tablespoon salt1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper4 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley16 lasagna noodles16 ounces ricotta cheese1 egg1/2 teaspoon salt3/4 pound mozzarella cheese, sliced3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

DirectionsIn a Dutch oven, cook sausage, ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until well browned. Stir incrushed tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, and water. Season with sugar, basil, fennel seeds, Italianseasoning, 1 tablespoon salt, pepper, and 2 tablespoons parsley. Simmer, covered, for about 1 1/2 hours,stirring occasionally.Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook lasagna noodles in boiling water for 8 to 10 minutes.Drain noodles, and rinse with cold water. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese with egg, remainingparsley, and 1/2 teaspoon salt.Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).To assemble, spread 1 1/2 cups of meat sauce in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Arrange 4 noodleslengthwise over meat sauce. Spread with one half of the ricotta cheese mixture. Top with a third ofmozzarella cheese slices. Spoon 1 1/2 cups meat sauce over mozzarella, and sprinkle with 1/4 cupParmesan cheese. Repeat layers, and top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Cover with foil:to prevent sticking, either spray foil with cooking spray, or make sure the foil does not touch the cheese.Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove foil, and bake an additional 25 minutes. Cool for 15 minutesbefore serving.

Prep: 15 minutesMicrowave: 2 minutesBake: 15-17 minutes at 350ºF

Molten chocolate oozes out of these easy-prep individual cakes.

Ingredients

12 oz bittersweet chocolate¾ cup (1-1/2 sticks) unsalted butter4 eggs2 tablespoons sugarMelted butter to grease molds

Mint chocolate chip ice cream OR vanillaice cream - optionalFresh mint garnish - optionalFresh berries to garnish - optionalCrushed Heath bar pieces - optional

1. In large glass bowl, break up bittersweetchocolate. Add butter; microwave on high2 minutes until melted & smooth, stirringhalfway through. Stir until smooth; cool slightly.

2. In medium size bowl, whip eggs & sugar on med-high speed of electric mixer or by hand, until tripledin volume, about 6-7 minutes.

3. Fold egg mixture into chocolate & divide among 8well-buttered 6 oz ramekins or molds. Bake at 350ºF 15-17 minutes or until top is just set.

4. Invert cakes onto plates; sprinkle with crushed Heath bar pieces, serve with ice cream, freshberries and/or fresh mint.
