May this “Tribute of Words” to Annetta inspire you to serve our Great God, wherever he has planted you with whatever you have to any-one you can, anytime you can, in the Name of Jesus Christ. May her ex-ample of sharing with others spur you on to share the gifts He’s blessed you with. After all, when it’s all said and done, the only things we will touch in heaven will be the lives we’ve touched on earth.
All for Jesus, Sandy Z.
P.S. I can hardly wait to meet ..... Annetta in Heaven, along with Jesus, Paul, Peter, John, James, . Martha, Mary, Joseph, David.......
What wisdom she had in seeing God’s way with her. It was very evi-dent in her writings that her strength and hope came from her loving Savior.
In both of her books of poems, she always included an invitation to have a relationship with the Lord. At Project Hope, we carry on many of the things she did in her day. We pray with each client that is served in the Pantry. We, like she did, feel the importance of sharing God’s salvation through His Son Jesus Christ. Each “need” is an opportunity to touch a life, for Him. We also help those in need with material things. If there is a hardship or tragedy, we give away clothing, household goods, etc., “In Jesus’ Name”. I must say, I stand amazed how the Lord used ONE WOMAN to be His hands and feet. Her seeds were plant-ed so long ago, and the harvest continues!
Matthew 25:35-36,40
“For I was hungry &
you
gave me something to
eat, I was
thirsty and
you
gave me something to
drink, I was a
stranger and
you
invited me in, I
needed clothes and
you
clothed me, I was sick
and
you
looked after me, I was
in prison and you
came to visit me.”
“The King will reply,
‘I tell you the truth,
whatever you did for
the least of these
brothers of mine,
you
did for me’ ”.

USE ME, LORD
Whatever talent, Lord, I have, May it be used for Thee: A spoken word, a cheery smile, A song of melody.
A whispered prayer, a kindly deed To help along the way: O use me in They service, Lord, For this I humbly pray.
~ Annetta Jansen
A Note from our Director It’s Annetta Jansen’s birthday January 27th and we would like to dedi-cate part of this newsletter in honor of her. I never met Annetta. I wish I had. But, I can tell you what I’ve “heard” about this special woman of God. She was a single (divorced) Mother of six children, who gave of what she had out of her home and garage, all in the Name of her God and Savior. She shared her faith as she shared clothing and groceries. She shared her love for God out in the surrounding neighborhoods by holding Vacation Bible School. She brought Bible stud-ies to the area schools. She took the “Great Commission” seriously. In reading her poems—they had purpose! Many were filled with loneli-ness and sorrow. In one poem, she said “sorrow was sent” so that she could help others.
Memories of Annetta Jansen ~ by Joy Lutke, Byron Center, MI
Annetta Jansen a person who loved the Lord and someone I admired. I re-member Annetta mainly as my piano teacher in my very young years of life. Also as the lady who played the organ at church, leading the choirs, constantly encour-aged others with music, wrote great poetry and published music that touched her heart. She told me many times thoughts of music and words would come to her in the middle of the night. She was a lady, who gave a tract or Bible verse with every treat. Someone, who constantly had people from the community stopping by to see if she could help them out with material concerns. She would give things out of her half empty kitchen cupboards at times. She had her one stall broken down garage door open constantly with items for the needy to help them-
selves. Little did I know at that time of what a sacrificial person she was.
I knew how much she loved Jesus because she always talked of Him. She always put Jesus first in her life with others next and herself last. As I look back on life, I marvel at her heart of giving and I strive to have a servant heart as she
did.
Music never came easy for me but I enjoy playing simple hymns on the piano, singing and using my trumpet today to give praise to my Savior in life. I am privi-leged also at times to play trumpet along with her son Steve, someone who has
the same love for Christ that Annetta had.
Today her ministry has expanded into a large thrift store with food items serv-ing the community of Dorr. God truly took her little jar of oil, with her large heart and kept it flowing. When I think of how my name is spelled often my mind goes to Annetta Jansen. She had JOY in her heart as she served and “J” for Jesus
first “Y” for yourself last and” O” for others in between.

Memories of Annetta Jansen ~ by Gregg Dykstra, Muskegon, MI
I am one of a few who can call Annetta Jansen my Aunt Nett. She was my Dad's baby
sister and they shared a giving heart.
She was a person so unassuming in nature. Never wanting or accepting praise, but always passing on the praise to God. She was a giver not a taker. I can remember a house, a basement and a garage filled with food and clothing for others. She would re-ceive cash gifts to help sustain her frugal lifestyle and she would turn and give it to some-
one she thought needed it more than her.
She didn't have many rules when it came to sharing her earthly goods, but she did have one. She would give you anything, but before you left she would always PRAY with
you and for you and share the gospel message.
We still carry on that legacy at Project Hope/Annetta Jansen Ministry Center to this day
and I hope it never ends because it is all about God our provider.
She surely is an example of a "servant heart" to whom God gave the opportunity to
share the loaves and fishes with the 5,000 and so many more. What a legacy to pass on.
My prayer is that every day we, at Project Hope/Annetta Jansen Ministry Center, re-member her dedication to her fellow man, but above all, her dedication to God. What a
blessing to share.
Project Hope/Annetta Jansen Ministry Center is touching lives in so many ways and has grown in so many ways, but our focus remains the same. Remember, it's not about Aunt Nett or Project Hope/Annetta Jansen Ministry Center, but all about God who freely
shares with all. Give Him all the glory.
Aunt Nett's life is an example to me everyday, that it's not about me, but about God and His kingdom. I have so many more memories to share, but not the space to share them.
We want to thank all the area churches for your continued support for this ministry. It is because of your faithfulness that we are able to continue the legacy of
what Annetta Jansen started so long ago, blessing and helping others in the wonderful Name of God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Blessed Holy Spirit.
To God be the Glory!
THANKS ~ Annetta Jansen
Thanks for the burden, Lord, For else how had I known
And felt the Everlasting Arms If I had strength my own.
Thanks for the burden, Lord,
For now I understand The helplessness of others And try to lend a hand.
Thanks for the burden, Lord, I know Thou chastenest me: But Thy great love is stronger Than e’er I thought could be.
“I can do all things through Christ
which strengthened me.”
Philippians 4:13
WAIT AND PRAY
Wait and pray- Seek God’s way; Through the deep
He will keep.
Wait and pray- God will stay: Never fear, He is near.
Wait and pray-
Trust today; Leave the rest
God knows best.

Memories of Annetta When I was a Young Girl ~ by Kathleen Neff, Dorr, MI
As a youth in 1967, I met Annetta one time only. In 1984 my Mother passed away. Annetta sent me several cards of comfort and it meant so much to me.
God bless her because she blessed me at my time of need.
