Welcome Hope Renewed: “He Is Risen!” Welcome to Hillsdale for what I pray will be a blessed day of fellowship, worship and study in God’s Word! A Word from this Pastor: I am reminded each Sunday how many people sacrifice time and distance as they choose to make Hillsdale their home and place of worship. Some families travel great distances to worship with a church dedicated to the faithful, verse-by-verse exposition of God’s Word, and committed to music and song that praises God’s Holy character. Sadly, pragmatism has become the doctrine of America’s churches and some historic Bible-preaching churches have faltered by catering to the world and pop culture at the sacrifice of their own legacy. It is my prayer the LORD will be glorified and your heart blessed as you worship with us each service. Summer vacations are upon us and many will be getting away for rest, family vacations and reunions with loved ones. As a reminder, while you are traveling you may continue to be faithful in your tithes and offerings by giving online at www.HillsdaleBaptist.org. Click on the “Donations” tab on our website and follow the prompts. In our morning service we are continuing our study of the Gospel of Matthew as our focus moves past the Cross to the burial and victorious resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead (Mathew 28). In the evening service, after several weeks of interruption, I am looking forward to returning to our study of Lessons on Faith from the Life of Abraham. Nova Scotia is the destination of our mission’s outreaches this summer and we will take a few minutes in tonight’s service for a report from our first missions team. We will also have a prayer of dedication for our second missions team that departs for Nova Scotia this Tuesday. In closing, “thank you” to the InHarmony Class for preparing a great time of food and fellowship at the Memorial Day Picnic. Also, thank you to Steve and Joy Miller and their family for providing the petting zoo, pony rides and train rides for our kids! Next year…we need a bigger tent! With a shepherd’s heart, Travis D.
