During the year 2017, Hope Bridge Association (HBA) has made tangible achievements towards the goals stated in its strategic plan (2014-2018). During 2017, big numbers of poor marginalized people who were unable to cover their basic needs, relieved by HBA interventions. Hope Bridge Charity Association targeted multiple social segments in light with the organization's strategic goals in line with the regulating values of the association. Marginalized and Fragile Categories were targeted during HBA interventions such as children, women, patients, orphans , elderly people , poor and marginalized groups in gaza strip. Hope Bridge Association has made significant achievements in light of its first strategic objective where (HBA) distributed winter aids; food parcels ,vegetables, water in deferent locations and at different times of the year as an emergency response to those affected by war, conflict or risk.
In the second strategic objective, the Bridge Hope Association was able to target
numbers of adults and young patients who suffer from chronic diseases. As well,
HBA provided a number of patients with medical equipment based on urgent
medical needs.
In the third strategic objective, Hope Bride Association was able to sponsor two
university students, and it carried out educational trips for Gaza children to
Archaeological sites.
Under the fourth strategic objective, Hope Bridge Charity Association has
sponsored a number of orphans for one year, and conducted many feasting
campaigns in Ramadan, in deferent areas in gaza strip, and targeted families with
meat in Adha feast and provided gifts for children.
In the fifth strategic objective, the Hope Bridge Association carried out campaigns
of covering the houses, and extended lighting systems for a number of homes in
poor areas, in addition to the establishment of facilities and bathrooms for other
homes who suffer from the lack these facilities.
In the sixth strategic objective, BHA conducted a training course for young leaders,
and received a group of fresh graduated volunteers to participate in community
empowerment of young people and enable them to build their abilities and
develop their administrative and field skills.
There are many lessons have been learned during the year of 2017, and it is
recommended to coordinate with institutions can facilitate our work in the cases
of disasters inside the areas of restricted limited access. Hobe Bridge Association
hopes to intensify its efforts to do more achievements towards its strategic
objectives during the year 2018.

During the year 2017, Deferent areas were targeted during Hope Bridge
Association works and interventions.
1- Eastern Villages of KhanYounis.
2- Border Areas at Rafah.
3- Bedouin villages in Gaza: the Bedouin village and the Malalha area
4- Bedouin villages in the north: the Bedouin village, and the mother of
victory
5- Poor villages in the Gaza Strip: Abu Safiya, Erez and others
6- areas and villages scattered from the Gaza Strip poor.
During the year of 2017, deferent categories of people/ beneficiaries were
targeted , and involved in Hope Bridge Association interventions.

Targeted Groups, locations, and partnerships in 2017

This chapter presents the achievements made during 2017 in the light of the
stated strategic objectives of the Association.
Strategic Objective I: Emergency relief for affected people,
vulnerable groups, poor, and those who were affected by
disasters and wars.
Distribution of food baskets to a large number of poor families in
marginalized areas in Gaza Strip, in the eastern villages of Khan Younis, the
Bedouin villages in Gaza and the north. Food baskets contained essential
elements for the Palestinian family such as lentils, beans, rice, sugar,
cheese, cooking oil, tea, tomato paste, milk, canned fish, beans and tahini.
Distribution of winter supplies and components; clothing, blankets,
heaters to a large number of poor families living in marginalized and poor
areas
Distribution of flour sacks to a number of families at the north of Gaza
Strip, the Bedouin village, and Khan Younis.
Distribution of vegetable parcels to poor families in north, Gaza city , the
Bedouin village and Umm al-Nasr.
Distribution of drinking water to poor areas in the Gaza Strip in deferent
areas in the north and in the south.
Strategic Objective 2: Provide health and medical services and
promote health Awareness and development for marginalized
and vulnerable groups and people.
Providing medical services for the kidney patients registered in the
Ministry of Health in Gaza (900 patients).

Provision of medical services to children suffer from kidney chronic
diseases registered in the Ministry of Health in Gaza. The activity targeted
25 children at Abdel Aziz Rantisi hospital.
Support a large number of children with chronic chest diseases with
required devices.
Support a large number of poor families with hygiene kits.
Provide 1,000 children with hygiene training program, and distributing
hygiene kits contained (toothbrush, soap, toothpaste) for each child.
Strategic Objective 3: To facilitate the capacity of education and
culture and to promote access to educational and cultural
programs for marginalized, vulnerable and poor groups.
Granting full scholarships to (2) university students enrolled in the
universities of the Gaza Strip in the year 2017.
Cultural trips for 100 children to the cultural areas ,Islamic milestones and
old architectural sites in the Gaza strip.
Strategic Objective IV: Social, economic, psychological and
religious support for marginalized and vulnerable and poor
groups.
Ensure 52 children orphans from different areas of Gaza Strip, with a
monthly sponsorship value of $ 50.
Distribution of 550 food baskets to 550 poor families and orphan families
during Ramadan 2017.
Distribution of 6,000 meals during Ramadan around Gaza Strip.
Revive 10 religious events in Ramadan in the areas of Khan Younis, Beit
Lahia and Gaza for the poor and orphaned children.
Distribution of meat (2 kg per household) in Adha Feast to an estimated
number of 2,500 households in the Gaza Strip.
Distributing gifts to orphan children during Fitr Feast.

Strategic Objective 5: Improve the infrastructure and achieve a
safe environment for vulnerable and marginalized groups in
Gaza.
Establishing required facilities and installing bathrooms for poor living
conditions families at the borders of Gaza .
Covering roofs of houses with nylon and segregated sheets in the winter
season at the north of Gaza.
Installation some of the Gaza Strip homes with lighting systems at poor
and marginalized areas.
Strategic Objective VI: Supporting youth and women, building
their capacities, creating young leaderships, opening up
employment prospects and economic empowerment.
Conducting Capacity building trainings and holding Young Leaders
courses for Gaza youth.
Receiving a group of fresh graduates to improve their administrative and

Flexibility in the dealing with Field situations.
The importance of field research in exploring new areas for better reach
the most needy and poor groups.
The importance of alternative plans and full readiness to implement these

non-governmental bodies in facilitating the implementation of
interventions.
The importance of good networking with the community leaders of
community site.
Coordination with the interested stakeholders to facilitate our access to
the border areas in the Disastrous situation.
The interventions features of 2018 will complement the principles of the strategic
objectives stated during the Strategic Plan, as:
Intensive Work in the medical and Health Services provision.
The establishment of medical points on the borders of gaza strip
Distribution of medical and first aid bags to vulnerable people .
