Dear Hope Family,
We are part of a grand vision to make Jesus Christ known throughout our neighborhoods and throughout the world. As we reach out with God’s love to the world around us, we will experience a Holy Spirit revival and the lives of people will be filled with hope forever.
Three years ago, the people of Hope Grimes committed financially to a three-year Building Hope capital campaign to acquire land in Grimes and build a church building. One year ago, we moved into the building and God has continued to draw people to Hope Grimes to become faithful followers of Jesus and make heaven more crowded!
As our Building Hope campaign ends in 2019, we are excited to embark on our next steps toward the growth and development of our congregation as we enter our new 10 for 10 vision.
The opportunity has never been greater to reach the thousands of people in our neighborhoods, and millions throughout the world who are in desperate need of God’s love.
“Take hold of that for which Christ has taken hold of you …” Philippians 3.12

Our Hope Grimes Leadership team has been praying and working over the last year to determine our next steps, and we are excited to present a new two-year campaign, Hope Ahead, focused on financial health, reaching out to the community, and upgrading our technology and operations capacity to build rich learning environments for children, students, and families.
As always, we invite you to pray about Hope Ahead. Ask God, “what do you want to do through me to bring about your vision for Hope?” Listen to God’s response. Then act!

Mission“Reach out to the world around us and share the everlasting love of Jesus Christ.”
Vision Powered by the Spirit to bring Christ to all cultures, revive the world with God’s love and make heaven more crowded!
Core Values1. Jesus is life. The rest is details.
“I am not ashamed of this Good News about
Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving
everyone who believes.” Romans 1:16
2. Lost people matter to God and so they matter to us. “Your brother was dead and has come back to
life! He was lost, but now he is found!” Luke 15:32
3. We worship God, not tradition. “The time is coming and is already here when
true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit
and in truth.” John 4:23
4. Following Jesus is a growing experience. “… equip God’s people to do his work and build
up the church, the body of Christ … that we will
be mature and full grown, measuring up to the
full stature of Christ.” Ephesians 4:12-14
5. We are one body, united in Jesus Christ. “Now all of you together are Christ’s body, and
each one of you is a separate and necessary part
of it.” 1 Corinthians 12:27

Imagine!
What would look like to have more space and better space to serve the youth and families in our community?
Imagine ...HopeKids, PowerLife, Ignition, and young adults entering rich and developmentally engaging ministry learning environments to grow in the Christian faith. Imagine entering a digital studio where music, podcasts, and videos can be created for ministries at Hope Grimes, and for the world around us. Imagine having enough storage spaces to keep our church clean, neat, and full of operational support.
Imagine ...a world-class outdoor amphitheater and a neighborhood bridge reaching into the community with relational ministry. The bridge would connect our neighbors who live in the apartments to the front door of Hope. And the amphitheater would invite the entire city into outdoor worship, weddings, outdoor Vacation Bible School, youth gatherings, community concerts, and public conversations where Jesus’ love serves as the way forward!
Imagine ...the freedom that comes when debt is reduced and eliminated. With a $6.3 million dollar mortgage we have an opportunity to pay off one million of the principal over the next two years. The savings to our general budget for the remainder of the mortgage will be approximately $50,000 every year! These are dollars that can be better used toward ministry and mission.
Not only will the balance be $1 million less, this clears up more than $490,000 in funds that can be used for ministry in the next 10 years!

It’s not complicated. In order to discover what it really means to be a “cheerful giver,” we need to
seek God’s revelation, not human reason. Try these steps:
Step one PRAY. Ask God this question: “Lord, what do you want to do through me to accomplish your will
for Hope?”
“ Keep on asking, and you will be given what you ask for. Keep on looking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7
Step twoLISTEN TO GOD. Keep asking until you “hear” God’s answer. If you don’t get anything – in
other words, if you don’t get a pretty strong indication in your heart, soul or mind as you pray each
day throughout this campaign – then quiet your life until you can.
Be still. Listen to God, not people. God will write a number on your
heart, soul or mind.
“Be silent, and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10
Step threeTAKE A LEAP OF FAITH. Trust God enough to do whatever he
calls you to do, believing that he will provide the means to make it
happen (2 Corinthians 9:6-11). Now you’re giving as a matter of faith
– and thus, experiencing the joy and freedom of Bible- based giving
without anyone telling you, other than God, what to give! Enjoy the
feeling!
