NEW THIS WEEK… PRIDE RALLY:  Our first PRIDE Rally of the year was successful!  THANK YOU to the teachers and staff members who helped out, and congratulations to all our amazing recipients.  We gave out approximately 120 lightning bolts.

ANNUAL ART HATHWAY DINNER  was a huge success again this year!  To sum it up, read the fabulous article written by Jeff Snoonian from iBerkshires.  READ it here.   WINTER ATHLETIC MEETING:  Monday, December 9, 6 p.m., starting out in the auditorium.  At least one parent/guardian MUST attend with the athlete.    NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY STUDENTS COLLECTING DONATIONS: The NHS is collecting items for the Humane Society.  Please consider donating things such as dog treats, toys, etc.  Money can even be donated,which will then be used to purchase treats/toys. All donations should be given to Mrs. Diesz directly.  Need more information, contact dieszr@acrsd.net .  CLASS OF 2020:  Yearbook photos are DUE on Friday, December 20 (information was sent home with the seniors by Ms. Lucier).  Questions?  Contact  luciert@acrsd.net .  NORTHERN BERKSHIRE COMMUNITY COALITION DECEMBER FORUM:  nbCC is anticipating that this upcoming forum will be an opportunity to convene the community and to host a conversation, specifically on the topic of mental health.  Concerns in the community surrounding mental health and mental illness are something that we all share, and it is the hope of the coalition to talk through this, with a focus on what this means and how to support those, including ourselves, when our mental health is not strong.  The meeting will be held on December 13, at 10 a.m., at the First Congregational Church in Williamstown.   SEE THE FLIER BELOW.  WANT TO BECOME A FOSTER PARENT?  Every parent makes a difference, and there is an informational session on December 12, starting at 5:30 p.m., at Greylock Federal Credit Union in North Adams.   SEE THE FLIER BELOW.   

THINGS WE WANT YOU TO REMEMBER... HOT CHOCOLATE MILK CHAT  with Nate Ebner and Jimmy Hunt on December 10, starting at 9:30 a.m. in the cafeteria.  This is for ALL 8th graders and their teachers and the LINK CREW mentors.  Ebner, an NFL player, and Hunt, a local dairy farmer, will participate in this livestream Q&A session from Gillette Stadium to chat with students about nutrition, physical activity, farming, hot chocolate milk, and more!

GRADE 8 LINK CREW  family event: This is the second family event, and it will be held on Wednesday, December 11, at 6 p.m. in the HVMHS cafeteria.  During this event, students, families, and LINK members will be decorating ornaments.  The event is FREE and open to all Grade 8 students and their families and LINK members.  Questions?  Contact  fhall@acrsd.net .  

CALENDAR of EVENTS for STUDENTS AND FAMILIES 

December 9:  Winter Athletic Sports’ Meeting, 6 p.m. HVMHS Auditorium.  A parent/guardian MUST attend.  December 10:  Hot Chocolate Milk chat for 8th graders and their LINK CREW mentors, 9:30 a.m. in the auditorium.  December 11:  LINK CREW and 8th grade students/families decorate ornaments, 6 p.m., HVMHS Cafeteria.  December 19:  Holiday Band Performance at 7 p.m. in the auditorium  December 20:  Half­day, dismissal at 10:40 a.m. and the Holiday Break begins.    January 6:  Classes resume.
