Honorable Vincent R. White brings his wealth of knowledge and experience as Judge Advocate General, Assistant City Attorney, Deputy Attorney General, State and Federal Court Judge and as a Senior Judge in the areas of personal injury, employment, probate, military, medical malpractice and municipal law to all areas of the dispute resolution process. Judge White is a recognized leader in the mediation field and is a faculty member for the prestigious National Judicial College teaching all aspects civil mediation to Judges from all over the world. HONORABLE VINCENT R. WHITE Judge White has received numerous awards and accolades during his time as a lawyer, Judge, and faculty member. As a Judge and mediator, Judge White is known for his excellent demeanor, temperament and legal acumen. During his time on the bench, he presided over thousands of civil, domestic relations, criminal, probate and mental health cases and trials. Judge White has been a certified mediator since 2010. He has conducted private mediations in civil, domestic relations, probate and employment maters. Additionally, he has presided over arbitrations and served as a special master relative to civil matters. Judge White continues to serve as a member of the State of Colorado Office of Dispute Resolution Advisory Committee. Additionally, he maintains his position as a Faculty member for the National Judicial College Dispute Resolution Skills program where he teaches all aspects of civil mediation and trial and courtroom procedure to Judges from across the world. OTHER EXPERIENCE In his most recent position, Judge White was appointed by the United States Attorney General Lorreta Lynch to be a Federal Judge in San Francisco, California. Prior to that, Judge White served as a District Court Judge in the 18th Judicial District for ten years where he presided over thousands of cases in the areas of personal injury, civil, employment, probate, domestic relations and criminal matters. Prior to being appointed to the bench, Judge White was appointed by then Colorado Attorney General Ken Salazar to be the Deputy Attorney General for the State of Colorado Office of the Attorney General Employment Section. In that capacity, Judge White managed the litigation of all employment and personnel matters for the governmental Departments of the State of Colorado and the 62,000 employees working for the state. Judge White has also served as a Combined Courts Magistrate for the 17th Judicial District in Brighton, Colorado presiding over family law cases, a Senior Trial Attorney with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and as a Senior Trial Attorney with the City of Colorado Springs litigating cases in civil and employment matters. Judge White served as a Judge Advocate General for the United States Air Force in both an active duty and reserve capacity for over 24 years and receiving the highest accolades for his service. While in the Air Force he provided legal assistance to thousands of military members on civil and family law matters, he litigated hundreds of labor law cases on behalf of the Air Force, and he was appointed as a faculty member at the Judge Advocate General’s school teaching all aspects of law to new Judge Advocates. Judge White retired in 2015 as a Lieutenant Colonel. In 2012, Judge White created a “pro-bono” court connected mediation program in Douglas County. In that capacity, Judge White provided hundreds of hours of mediation for low-income parties in domestic relations and civil law cases. Honorable Vincent R. PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION Judge White is a graduate of North Carolina State University and North Carolina Central University School of Law. Additionally, he is a graduate of the U.S. Army Quartermaster Officer Basic Course, U.S. Air Force Squadron Officer School, U.S. Air Force Air Command and Staff College, and U.S. Air Force Air War College. Judge White completed his mediation training at the National Judicial College.
