PHONE FAX AFS address E-mail +852 2910 6174 +852 2910 1180 VHHHYOYX [email protected] HONG KONG SPECIAL ADMINISTRATIVE REGION PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA AERONAUTICAL INFORMATION SERVICE (ISO 9001 CERTIFIED) AIR TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT DIVISION CIVIL AVIATION DEPARTMENT HONG KONG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT HONG KONG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT INTRODUCTION OF MULTIPLE AIRCRAFT RAMP SYSTEM (MARS) AT MID-FIELD PARKING STANDS D301-D310 1 Introduction 1.1 The mid-field area of the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) is being developed to provide additional parking areas and passenger facilities in phases before March 2020. 1.2 With effect from 0000 UTC on 18 July 2019, the operations of Multiple Aircraft Ramp System (MARS) will be introduced on Parking Stands D301 to D310 (both stands inclusive) (Attachment A). 2 Operations Details 2.1 Aircraft Stands D301 to D310 (both stands inclusive except Parking Stand D303 and D309) are provided with “L” and “R” auxiliary centrelines. The same pattern of taxi lead-in lines is adopted as existing provision at HKIA. 2.2 Aircraft size up to Code C can be accommodated when the auxiliary centreline is in use. 2.3 No auxiliary centreline is provided on Parking Stand D303. Aircraft of size up to Code E is served on the main centreline. 2.4 No auxiliary centreline “D309R” is provided. 2.5 Due to the absence of Aircraft Docking Guidance System (ADGS) for MARS operations, marshalling service is provided on the ground located directly in front of the aircraft taxiing on the stand auxiliary centreline. 2.6 Standard aircraft pushback directions (i.e. Pushback RED and Pushback BLUE) and procedures applies (Attachment B). 2.7 Caution should be exercised when maneuvering into the MARS operated Parking Stands due to the proximity of other aircraft, ground staff and equipment. 3 Cancellation 3.1 This AIP Supplement will remain effective until incorporated into the AIP. 10 JUL 19 AIP SUPPLEMENT 09/19

1 Introduction

1.1 The mid-field area of the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) is being developed to provide additional parkingareas and passenger facilities in phases before March 2020.

1.2 With effect from 0000 UTC on 18 July 2019, the operations of Multiple Aircraft Ramp System (MARS) will beintroduced on Parking Stands D301 to D310 (both stands inclusive) (Attachment A).

2 Operations Details

2.1 Aircraft Stands D301 to D310 (both stands inclusive except Parking Stand D303 and D309) are provided with “L” and“R” auxiliary centrelines. The same pattern of taxi lead-in lines is adopted as existing provision at HKIA.

2.2 Aircraft size up to Code C can be accommodated when the auxiliary centreline is in use.

2.3 No auxiliary centreline is provided on Parking Stand D303. Aircraft of size up to Code E is served on the maincentreline.

2.4 No auxiliary centreline “D309R” is provided.
