HONDA’S AIRBAG RECALL,2010

On the 9th of Febuary,2010, Honda announced a recall of certain 2001 and 2002 model vehicles to replace the driver's airbag inflator.

The recall was made for around 378000 vehicles in the United States.

They announced their recall on their website i.e www.honda.com. Also via newspapers, television, internet etc.

They were concerned that the driver's airbag could deploy with more pressure than needed, which could cause injury or death.

There are 12 documented cases of this issue till date, out of which one was fatal.

The recall is said to have stemmed from the airbag not meeting safety requirements when tested with an unbelted crash test dummy the size of a child.

Owners with vehicles that are affected received a notice to take their car to an authorized dealer once they receive the official notice.

Honda shares were dropped after the recall.

On 16th march,2010, A massive 2010 Honda recall happened due to brake problems.

the Honda recall affected more than 400,000 vehicles, including the Honda Odyssey minivans and the Honda Element crossover vehicles from both the 2007 and 2008 model years.

Honda stated that "some VSA modulators were assembled in a manner that could allow air intrusion, making it possible for air to enter the modulator during the VSA self-check mode."

any queries.Voluntarily conducted a ‘Safety Improvement

Campaign’.Recommended children under the age of 12
