POWERFUL YET SMOOTH The speed and acceleration of the BF130 and the BF115 are comparable to those of a2-stroke engine. But these engines provide super-smooth handling thanks to the Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI),a twin-balancer shaft system and an inverted flywheel that makes vibrations practically non-existent.
MAKING EVERY DROP COUNT Honda’s PGM-FI system optimises the air/fuel ratio and the injection timing to burnapprox 30% less fuel at cruising speed than that of conventional 2-stroke engines. And when you’re trolling at low revs,that number is closer to 90%!
TRUE RELIABILITY Its design is based on the Honda Accord’s reliable 2.3 litre engine and employs many of its triedand tested components. Trim Angle AdjustmentExcessive negative trim cancause unwanted bow steering,while too much engine trim canhinder stable cruising by causingthe bow to rise. The power trimfeature allows you to find theoptimum trim angle every time,ensuring maximum cruisingperformance. A well-trimmedengine can increase the enginerpm by up to 400 rpm.
BF135, BF150, BF200 and BF225models, counter rotation modelsare available. On twin-riggingapplications, the engines’ propellersrotate in the same direction andgenerate a large torque effect,leading to boat-cap drifting.To balance this effect, the counter-rotation model rotates the portpropeller opposite the starboardengine, allowing perfectly straight,comfortable steering.
