Easy to transport In open nature in the city On rooftops

Cube it is a fl exible modular housing solution. The module consists out of a cube from 3 metres by 3 metres, which makes it easy to transport by truck. The cube is closed in an U-shape on three sides, supporting the construction of the module. The three open sides carry many confi guration possibilities for different groups of residents. The compact dimension of the cube, makes this housing a solution for many different locations. Cube It can be placed in open spaces, between city buildings or even on top of offi ce or residential blocks.

The construction consists of steel hollow beams with an easy assembly between multiple frames. Cubes can be stacked on each other. The sandwich panels are connected directly to the main construction. The sandwich panels used are the Sol-Air Kingspan (KS1000SA) with an integrated solution to use the warmth of the steel by the sun, to help warm up ventilation air. The colour used for the panels is true black, since the optimal functioning is reached.

The interior of Cube it is fi nished with a wooden look, offering comfort to the residents. Smart furniture is used to achieve more living space, beds are openable and function as a storage as well. Sofas and tables are designed with extra storage space too.

Cube it can be used as housing for refugees, but also for students or other interested groups. Cube It is fl exible, playful and comfortable.

To integrate the heatpump in the design of Cube It, a steel plate is used to cover up the installation. Designed in a pattern, little holes in the steel plate lets air in and out the installation. On the side maintenance can be done behind the opening. The cover up is also used for the numbering of the houses and can contain an lantern.
