} Yes it would be good to choose if you have the option that this homework caters to there level of learning.

} Yes I would like a choice. I support homework that is relevant to their classwork. Say for example, reading an article, and asking the child to writing a paragraph on that article. And choosing 3 words to write dictionary meanings, and 3 words that are adjectives/verbs etc. Or say 'this month we are focusing on our Times Tables, Or this month we are talking about "subject" so the child can resource that subject themselves. Also I think the children should have from Monday to Sunday for homework (as many children have other activities and family responsibilities where they cannot complete quality homework to return the next day.

} I believe that a small amount of homework may be of value but am concerned that there can be too much reliance on it for learning what should be covered in the classroom. There are other extracurricular activities like languages, music and swimming that are of great value after school. However, if other children were doing assigned homework I wouldn't want my child to fall behind.

} I think homework is a good idea as long as it isn't overloaded. It's hard enough trying to get a child motivated to do more school work at home.

} I think if the teacher recommends the child needs homework then I'm happy.

} Targeted homework to address individual needs. Something the student and teacher decide together (e.g. Handwriting)

} I am happy to be guided by teacher/principle

} I think for example reading and times tables are a necessity but most other homework I'd like to have a choice

} The value of homework is in the content, it's relevance to classroom work and the specific student, if it is engaging, and most importantly if it's valued and checked by the teacher.

} I believe all children should be encouraged to do homework. If given a choice all would prefer not too do. I have been discouraged by the excitement of parents that there is no homework. Yes it's easy not to do, however is this best practice for children's learning. Time management & preparation for high school. Homework should be 'revision' of current learning in the classroom & should be able to be completed by the child. Children need to practice reading, spelling to further develop their own learning. Computers have a place in society, however children are loosing basic fine motor development .....which can lead to further development health issues.

} More is needed. Very disappointed with the lack of homework at VPS.

} I think reading should be complusary and other KLAs optional. Though I worry for kids whose parents will not do anything with them if there is the option not too.

} No homework is preferred but should be same for all students

} I think it needs to be the same for all kids. My preference is no homework. Let them be kids after school

} YES and I would like suggestions please - like good interactive websites, activity books, downloadable pages of activities on the school website, whatever - so we can proactively do things but at a pace and time that we choose

} I feel I already have that choice.

} Yes, each year we are asked to pay for Mathletics and Spellodrome. But I have never experienced these being used by the teachers. I don't see the point in paying for them if homework is not allocated to students via these apps. Both Jewells and Floraville have excellent Online Homework for all their students, and the kids love doing it, they are fun activities, and great resources.

} Maybe just spelling only

} Sometimes

} I would prefer hard copy homework than online activities.

} Both written and online homework

} Only if they request it.

} As long as it directly correlates with what is currently being taught in class.

} Yes but please let's not increase screen time too much when most of us are trying to get the kids off screens. There is certainly merit in the interactive learning tools though.

} I would like to see options for homework if my child would like to do some extra school work

} yes on a voluntary basis and not every day .

} Limited activities & not the only way homework is delivered.

} Non complusary

} If addition work required in area of weakness

} Yes, but not a generic thing. Something you can choose from ie times tables, spelling

} Preferably no homework but online better option is it has to be done

} Yes if we need to have homework. But prefer no homework at all

} If they are voluntary and fun

} Maybe...not essential

} Particularly pointing us at a range of different options

} I think the program is good and should be retained, although we do not often use it. We have always done our own independent reading.

} Yes I believe that our kids should be reading each night. But we stopped recording each night as our list wasn't being checked. And maybe a suggested list of books, that are relevant to their classwork would be more beneficial?

} Already read as routine every evening but perhaps reading could be incorporated into some of the homework e.g. Write a summary of book you have read this week.

} Some books are inappropriate content and skill level would rather she read her own book

} I didn't realise there was a program, we just read anyway because it is important, is good bonding time and fortunately my girls love to read.

} Reading own books not ones sent home

} YES although we don't end up using your books or following that process - we just allocate reading time every night and use our own chapter books. But the principle of reading is absolutely important.

} Only if they can read any book, not just the school readers.
