EdgePlayers are heroes, and all heroes need luck. Edge is this luck. It can be used to force a reroll in almost any situation (GM makes the final call if it is allowed) everything from rerolling a missed shot to rerolling a fatal crit on yourself. Depending on the situation your GM will require a gunnery or piloting check. The first time you use your edge you must equal or exceed your gunnery or piloting. Each time you use your edge the difficulty is increased by 2. You cannnot Edge a roll that is granted by Edge.ie a 4 gunner misses a shot so he uses his edge to reroll it. He needs a 4 or better. Regardless of success or failure later in the same session he recieves a critical hit that he would like rerolled. He then rolls and edge roll using his 5 piloting however this time the difficulty has gone up and there is a +2 modifier on the difficulty. So he needs to make a 7 or better. A person can only have so much luck.

Missions & Loyalty RatingEach Mission will cover approximately a 3-month space of time that will cover travel time, and operations, with the Exception of Extended Campaigns, as noted below. When a mission is concluded, the players will be given the options of three different missions, from three different Employers (usually one of the Great Houses) Choosing one mission will earn you loyalty rating with that employer if it is one of the Great Houses, other employers will offer extra rewards in place of Loyalty, however the other employers will lose loyalty rating. All ratings start at Zero, and at certain breakpoints, positive, or negative, will enable certain effects, such as being offered salvage rights on a mission, or reduced prices on certain equipment, or having the Bounty Hunter sent after the group.Extended CampaignsExtended campaigns are a series of linked missions, that offer greater rewards than other missions types, they also cover a greater period of time, typically one year with three to five missions during that period.Loyalty RatingSusessfully completeing a mission will earn +3 loyalty rating, turning down a mission will lose you 1 Rating from that employer.
