12.3.3 Bond in lieu of retention

(a) The Contractor may provide a bond in lieu of

retentions.

The percentage to be retained from each

progress payment and the limit of the total

sums retained shall be nil if the Contractor

provides a Bond in Lieu of Retentions

(Schedule 5). The value of the bond shall be

the applicable retention amount plus a further

10%.
