HOWDY!Initially, attending Texas A&M University with an enrollment of more than 60,000 students was intimidating, but I soon saw the true Spirit of Aggieland through the friendly people on campus and felt right at home.
I really started to feel like a part of the Aggie Family when I experienced the traditions that A&M upholds. Standing in Kyle Field yelling my wildcat and sawing ‘em off, honoring current students who have passed away at Silver Taps, and getting a coveted picture with the First Lady of Aggieland, Miss Reveille, have been some of my fondest memories my freshman year. Attending Texas A&M has been one of the greatest decisions of my life, and I wouldn’t trade the experiences I have had thus far for the world.
Thanks, and Gig ’em!Viet Nguyen ’20

GET YOUR HANDS DIRTYJuan Acevedo ʽ18 refused to wait for graduate school to pursue his passion. So he went for it.
“I’ve always liked going out and learning about how mountains were formed, and what makes up the rocks,” he said.
His curiosity took him around the world - and beyond it. Twice, he did field work along Texas’ Eagle Ford shale.
He interned with a seismological research company in Missouri. When Earth wasn’t enough, he studied sedimentary dunes in the North Pole of Mars.
Like Juan, you’ll get undergraduate research opportunities here.
Texas A&M has a rare land, sea and space grant designation. That means Aggies explore all of life’s greatest mysteries - and all in their first four years here.

LEADERS MADE HERERepresenting the largest and oldest student organization on campus, members of the Corps of Cadets are known as “Keepers of the Spirit” for all that they do to uphold Texas A&M traditions. More important, this four-year training program has a national reputation for developing leaders of character.

WHAT ’S THE BIG IDEA? YOURS.You have an idea that’ll change the world. So did Juan Zermeno ’17 and McCalley Cunningham ’18. They wanted to create a business that could make a real difference.
Enter: END Hunger Snacks. The company, which they founded as students, makes vitamin-packed snacks. For every sale, they pledge to give 50% of revenue to help fight against world hunger: A purchase with a purpose.
They made their dream a reality with the help of The McFerrin Center for Entrepreneurship, Texas A&M’s award-winning entrepreneurship hub. It’s one of many resources here that’ll help bring your big idea to life.

A WORLD OF GOODIn the summer of 2017, Jeffrey Quinn ’20 volunteered in Mbale, Uganda. More than anything, he wanted to make a lasting difference. But while there, he learned a skill he didn’t expect to: Humility.
“You must be willing to listen to people’s problems instead of assuming you know what they are,” he reflected.
When you study abroad someday, you’ll grow in ways you never thought you could. Explore a world beyond your own. Along the way, you might find the best version of yourself.
Wherever you do it, you’ll be supported by the Study Abroad Programs Office, which is among the best in the nation. They can help you plan and afford your dream trip.

The Washington Post: EVERY COLLEGE FOOTBALL FAN SHOULD SEE TEXAS A&M’S MIDNIGHT YELL.
Twenty minutes to midnight, and droves stream into — not out of — the stadium. Two minutes past midnight, and everyone from the field to the upper decks suddenly knows it’s time to bend slightly and put hands upon knees to state a passage everyone also seems to know. Seventeen minutes past midnight, and there comes one of the better spectacles you’ll ever see at any hour, let alone 17 past midnight: tens of thousands
interlocking arms and, often, knees, and oscillating back and forth.
- Sportswriter Chuck Culpepper, describing Midnight Yell, which ESPN College GameDay called one of college football’s greatest traditions.
Midnight Yell is just the beginning. No matter the sport, game day here is a full-body experience. In the spirit of the 12th Man, students stand the entire game. When the team needs us most, Aggies show up and show out.

As a graduate, you’ll get all the perks of this worldwide family – and the gold to match.

~95% of qualifying undergraduates choose to order an Aggie Ring, easily the highest rate of any university.
