Our agency brings residents, partners and resources
together to optimize health and achieve health equity
for all people living in suburban Cook County.
We work to prevent the spread of about 70 reportable
communicable diseases and enforce Cook County and
Illinois public health laws, rules and regulations.
We gather and analyze communicable and chronic
disease data and provide information about the
priority health needs of our communities.
We plan for and address emerging health
threats, and promote healthy living through
public health nursing services, education
and community development.
Visit us online to learn more about CCDPH programs and services, specializing in:
chronic and communicable diseases, community health planning and epidemiology,
emergency preparedness and response, environmental health, lead poisoning, policy
development, public information, and public health nursing.
CCDPH is the nationally accredited, state-certified local health department for 2.5 million residents and 125 Cook County suburbs in a 700-square-mile area.
