English LO: To write a set of instructions (Spread across today and tomorrow).
Today and tomorrow, I would like you to write a set of instructions. You can choose what the instructions are for but here are some examples: how to wash up, how to brush your teeth, how to build a lego house, how to make a sandwich. You could choose to make something or you can make it up. Remember at Christmas, we wrote instructions on how to catch a naughty elf. Start by thinking about an introduction. Let your reader know what your instructions are for. See my example below. I have included a question, an adjective and some conjunctions. Can you include these in your introduction? How to trap a dragonAre you kept awake at night by the sound of dragons crunching bones? Do not despair because help is at hand. Dragons must be defeated. Read these instructions and soon you too will be rid of this terrible pest. You will need:A magical spade, a brown sheet, some leaves and sticks and a large lump of tasty meat.
That’s as far as I want you to write today. Remember to use: full stops and capital letters, letters sitting on the line
