MATERIALS : 1) Story book – Monkey brushes his teeth!
OBJECTIVES: - Your child will listen to the story ‘Monkey
brushes his teeth!’ and respond to thequestions.
Lesson Development: 1) Introduce the author, illustrator, title and the cover page of the story book “Monkey brushes his
teeth!”2) Read the story to your child.3) Reread the story and at each juncture ask children the following questions.
Questions for Discussion: 1) Can you tell me what do you see in this book cover? What do you think the story is about?2) What does monkey love to eat?3) What did he do after eating the food?4) What does monkey need to brush his teeth?5) How did monkey brush his teeth? Can you show me how to brush your teeth?6) When do you brush your teeth?7) What else can you do to take care of your teeth?
Note to Parents: 1) Find a suitable time and cosy place to do the reading activity.2) Enjoy reading to your child!

ACTIVITY: BRUSHING TEETH!
WEDNESDAY, 22 APRIL 2020 NURSERY
MATERIALS : 1) New Adult toothbrush2) New child toothbrush3) Old Adult toothbrush4) Old child toothbrush5) Egg carton, cut the cups into sets of 3.

OBJECTIVES: Your child will be able to verbalise the actions that he / she is doing .
Lesson Development: 1) Show two types of toothbrushes, one for an adult and one for a child.2) Ask your child what are they and their uses .3) Ask him/her which one does he/she use and why.4) Introduce the bristles of the toothbrush and ask what they are for.5) (Toothbrush bristles are used to clean the teeth. Bristles that are straight cleans teeth better
than bristles that are bent. It is recommended to change your toothbrush when the bristles arebent / frayed.)
6) Show the old and the new toothbrushes and ask your child to compare them.7) Demonstrate to your child, using the egg cartons as teeth, using the old toothbrush.8) Then demonstrate it again, with the new toothbrush.9) Ask your child which toothbrush would do a better job to clean the teeth.
Questions for discussion:1) What are these toothbrushes for?2) Which one should you use? Why? (show the adult and the child sized toothbrush)3) Do you know what is the name of this part (show the bristles) of the toothbrush?4) Which toothbrush would do a better job to clean your teeth?

ACTIVITY: I CAN BRUSH MY TEETH!
FRIDAY, 24 APRIL 2020 NURSERY
MATERIALS : 1) Tray / Aluminium tray2) Water3) Cup4) Egg carton, cut the cups into sets of 3.

5) Playdoh or BluTack.6) Toothbrush7) Toothpaste
OBJECTIVES: - To promote self help skills with
toothbrushing activity.
Lesson Development: 1) Lay a plastic mat on the table and floor and encourage your child to wear an apron.2) Talk about ways to take care of your teeth. Ask your child methods to brush his/her teeth.3) Place a tiny bit of child’s toothpaste on his/her index finger. Get him/her to smell the toothpaste.4) Explain to your child, that if he / she brushes his/her teeth, his/her mouth will have a sweet
smelling breath.5) Stick some playdoh or BluTack on the egg carton teeth. Tell your child that these are like pieces of
food stuck on the teeth.6) Place the egg carton teeth in the tray. Put a cup of water in the tray.7) Get your child to squeeze a little bit of toothpaste and place it on the toothbrush.8) Encourage your child to brush the egg carton teeth using the toothbrush and the
toothpaste.9) Demonstrate to your chid how to brush the teeth in a proper way.10) Show how to brush the top teeth, downwards and the bottom teeth, upwards.11) Remind your child to brush gently so that it wont hurt his / her gums.12) Get your child to rinse the toothbrush in the cup of water.13) Encourage your child to brush another set of teeth.
Questions for Discussion: 1) How frequent do you brush your teeth?2) Can you share with me, how you brush your teeth?3) What are some ways that you can do to keep your teeth healthy?4) What do you put on your toothbrush to brush your teeth?

Gigi!”(pdf)3) Berus gigi4) Cermin5) Poster ‘Cara-cara Memberus Gigi’ (Annex B)
Objektif: Di akhir aktiviti ini, anak anda akan:
- Mengenali tentang teks yang ada didalambuku dan cara pembacaan yang betuldaripada kiri ke kanan dan atas ke bawah.
- Memahami jalan cerita dalam buku.
Arahan: 1) Jadikan tabiat membaca ‘Doa sebelum Belajar’ (Annex A) bersama-sama, setiap kali anda
mulakan sesi aktiviti bersama anak anda.2) Mulakan aktiviti dengan menunjukkan kulit buku dan tajuk cerita.3) Luangkan masa untuk berbincang tentang gambar di kulit buku dan makna tajuk cerita.4) Bacakan buku cerita dengan terperinci dengan mengenalkan kepada anak anda tentang teks yang
ada di dalam buku.5) Anda akan dapat mengenalkan tentang cara pembacaan yang betul dengan menuding setiap
perkataan sambil membaca, daripada kiri ke kanan dan atas ke bawah.6) Ajak anak anda untuk membaca frasa; “Sama seperti Ayahnya!” di setiap lembaran.7) Anda boleh menanyakan soalan-soalan mengikut setiap lembaran buku cerita.8) Sediakan berus gigi dan cermin untuk anak anda berlatih menggosok gigi dan memerhatikan
giginya sendiri.9) Anda boleh mengajak anak anda merujuk pada poster ‘Cara-cara Memberus Gigi’.
Soalan-soalan yang boleh diajukan: 1) Buah apakah yang Monyet suka makan?2) Adakah Monyet suka makan buah itu setiap hari?3) Selepas Monyet memakan pisang, apa yang Monyet lakukan?4) Apakah yang Monyet letakkan di berus giginya untuk membersihkan giginya?5) Apakah yang Monyet buat selepas memberus giginya?
Nota untuk Ibu bapa/ Waris: 1) Ajak anak anda untuk memerhatikan keadaan giginya menggunakan cermin.2) Bincang dengan anak anda akan cara-cara untuk mendapat gigi yang sihat selalu.

Objektif: Di akhir aktiviti ini, anak anda akan: - Melihat dan menunjuk gambar-gambar dalambuku dengan teliti.- Mengenali nama benda-benda yang terdapat didalam buku.- Dapat mencuba meneka nama benda berdasarkanpembayang yang diberi.
Arahan: 1) Mulakan aktiviti hari ini dengan membaca ‘Doa sebelum Belajar’ (Annex A) dan menunjuk buku
cerita “Monyet Berus Gigi!”. Ingatkan anak anda tentang Monyet yang selalu “Sama sepertiAyahnya!” kerana Monyet suka meniru gaya sihat Ayahnya.

pembaris kesukaannya untuk digunakan sebagai penunjuk.6) Tunjuk gambar benda-benda di dalam buku cerita itu dan tanyakan padanya, “Apakah benda ini?”
Nyatakan nama benda itu, “Monyet”7) Ajak anak anda sebutkan nama benda itu, “Cuba kamu sebutkan..” “Monyet!”8) Lanjutkan aktiviti ini dengan benda-benda yang lain seperti: ekor, pisang, gigi, berus gigi, ubat gigi,
lidah, cawan, air dan cermin.Soalan-soalan yang boleh diajukan: 1) Ajak anak anda untuk cuba meneka nama benda melalui teka-teki, seperti:2) Binatang ini ada ekor yang panjang dan suka makan pisang! Apa nama binatang ini?3) Dalam mulut kita ada banyak benda putih yang menolong kita untuk mengunyah makanan. Apa dia?4) Selepas kamu berus gigi, kamu akan berkumur-kumur dengan benda ini. Apa dia?5) Untuk berkumur-kumur, kamu letak air ke dalam benda ini. Apa dia?
Nota untuk Ibu bapa/ Waris: 1) Berikan anak anda pelukan setiap hari. Kajian menunjukkan anak yang dipeluk setiap hari akan
mempunyai kekuatan IQ yang lebih kuat daripada anak yang jarang dipeluk.2) Setiap kali anak berbuat baik atau bersikap positif, beri ganjaran; seperti senyuman, usapan, pelukan
atau kata-kata pujian.

Objektif: Di akhir aktiviti ini, anak anda akan: - Dapat menyertai kegiatan Bahasa Melayu secaraaktif dengan mengikuti aksi dalam sebuah lagu.- Lebih mengenali tentang cara-cara memberusgigi.
Arahan: 1) Mulakan aktiviti hari ini dengan membaca ‘Doa sebelum Belajar’ (Annex A).2) Ingatkan anak anda bahawa kita selalu harus menjaga kesihatan badan.3) Ajak anak anda melakukan senaman, ikuti video di Youtube: “Jom Bersenam” oleh Didi and
Friends: https://youtu.be/0BcUi2sOYks4) Kemudian, beritahu anak anda, kita juga harus menjaga gigi dan mulut kita agar selalu sihat.5) Bagaimana kita harus menjaga gigi kita? Apa cara yang betul untuk memberus gigi?6) Ajak anak anda mengambil berus gigi dan cermin masing-masing. Ikut cara-cara memberus gigi

7) Tunjuk poster ‘Cara-cara Memberus Gigi’ dan berbincang dengan anak anda tentang cara-caramemberus gigi yang betul dan teratur.
8) Galakkan anak anda untuk mengingat kembali cara-cara memberus gigi dan tunjukkan pada andasekali lagi.
Soalan-soalan yang boleh diajukan: 1) Berapa besarkah saiz ubat gigi yang harus kita gunakan?2) Apabila memberus luar gigi, bagaimana harus kita gerakkan berus gigi kita? (atas dan bawah)3) Apabila memberus gigi tepi, bagaimana harus kita gerakkan berus gigi kita? (perlahan)
Nota untuk Ibu bapa/ Waris: 1) Ibubapa merupakan orang yang sentiasa menjadi contoh terbaik kepada anak-anak, maka segala
tingkah laku ibubapa akan cuba ditiru oleh mereka. Justeru, ambillah peluang dengan memberusgigi bersama mereka. Duduk di hadapan mereka sambil memegang berus gigi dan tunjukkankepada mereka betapa seronoknya aktiviti memberus gigi.

AKTIVITI (1 jam): JOM, BUAT PEMEGANG BERUS GIGI!
23rd April 2020 NURSERI
Peralatan / Bahan-bahan : 1) Kepingan Mainan Lego atau2) Cawan plastik, pen
marker berwarna& batu kerikil.
Objektif: Di akhir aktiviti ini, anak anda akan: - Mencuba untuk membuat pemegang berus gigi.
Arahan: 1) Mulakan aktiviti hari ini dengan membaca ‘Doa sebelum Belajar’ (Annex A).2) Ingatkan anak anda tentang watak Monyet yang pandai memberus gigi selepas makan.3) Tanyakan pada anak anda, bilakah masa-masa yang dia mesti memberus giginya.4) Ajak anak anda membuat pemegang berus gigi.5) Anda boleh mengajaknya menggunakan kepingan Mainan Lego dan mereka dan membina bentuk
pemegang berus gigi seperti ini:
6) Atau anda boleh mengajaknya menggunakan cawan plastik dan pen markerberwarna. Berilah anak anda peluang untuk melukis dan mewarnakan cawanplastiknya dan menulis namanya.
7) Cadangkan anak anda untuk membuat pemegang berus gigi untuk ahli-ahlikeluarga yang lain juga. Tolong anak anda tuliskan nama-nama mereka dipemegang masing-masing. Atau anda boleh membimbing anak anda untukmenulisnya.
8) Letakkan batu kerikil berwarna (jika ada) ke dalam cawan platik yang telahdihias, supaya cawan itu dapat berdiri teguh apabila berus gigi diletakkan kedalamnya.
Nota untuk Ibu bapa/ Waris: 1) Jangan lupa untuk menekankan proses kreativiti dan bukan hasil terakhir. Anda boleh lakukan ini
dengan menghargai dan menggalakkan usahanya sambil memberi kebebasan untuk mengurusnyasendiri. Sebagai contoh, melukis dan mewarnakan sesuatu yang tidak lazim, seperti mewarnakanmatahari biru dan daun-daun pokok merah jambu, adalah tidak salah.

Aktiviti Lanjutan: 1) Kemudian, ajaklah anak anda untuk mengambil wudhuk dan melakukan solat jemaah bersama-
sama. Kemudian, berdoa bersama-sama selepas solat.Nota untuk Ibu bapa/ Waris: 1) Doa dan terus berdoa. Yakinlah, doa seorang ibu itu sangat dahsyat. Maka, teruslah berdoa
dengan yakin suatu hari nanti anak anda bukan sahaja mampu mengaji al-Quran dengan baiktetapi juga menjadi Pencinta Al-Quran yang baik akhlaknya. Tiada daya kekuatan melainkansegalanya terjadi dengan izin Allah. Sesungguhnya, Allah menilai usaha.

1) Tell your child that “ We are learning about the Letter Hh today2) Introduce the letter card Hh to your child.3) Point to the uppercase letter H and say “ This is uppercase H or Big Letter H”4) Point to the lowercase letter h and say “ This is the lowercase h or small letter h”5) Tell your child that Hh sounds like /h/. You can refer to this video on the pronouciation of
