Impact Award Application – TBL Workplace Challenge Project Overview: The Workplace Challenge has been a focus for tBL over the past 12 months, the project has been used as catalyst create new strategic partnerships with local stakeholders; LA Public Health teams, small-large businesses and uniformed services to name a few. We have seen a big increase in the number of individuals registered to the website with over 1,100 users, of which a third are classified as inactive. The project has also been instrumental in supporting NGB WSP to be delivered to new markets. The WPC project has also been used develop our reach with community clubs as we are now able to offer a programme (linked to Get Back Into) that has been proven to increase membership and generate income. In order for the project to be accessible for both individuals and businesses a delivery strategy was developed (summarised below); this was based around previous successes and a business plan that allowed for multiple interventions at the minimal cost to tBL. Deliver 1 off ad hoc tournaments for companies to enter teams into – 7-10 per year 6 weeks of coaching based at club leading into a social competition, emphasis on individuals entering – 5-7 per year Business Games, one off multi event festival that companies enter a team into (scheduled for spring 2016) Running “ladder leagues” for companies – individuals schedule their own matches but tBL will administer the league and record the results. Impact: As shown on infographic below and accompanying video - 2 WPC programmes have had particular success in meeting the objectives of 1) increased participation of inactive people and 2) sustain activity through transition to community clubs.
