Greece is officially known as Hellenic Republic and was originally known as Hellas. It is situated in southeast of Europe it’s the meeting point of Europe, Africa and Asia. According to the 2011 census it accommodates the population of up to 11 million people. Most of which is in the capitol, Athens. Up to 80% of Greece is made of mountains, highest of which is mount Olympus. Greece is one of the most popular tourist attraction for world heritage sites. 98% of Greece is Orthodox and belong to the Greek Orthodox Church.

In the Ancient Greek era some of the sources of income where through through farming, fishing and trading. Moreover some people were soldiers, others scholars, scientists and artists.
They lived in villages or small cities. With beautiful temples made with stone columns decorated with stone statues. The ancient Greek began many traditions which are commonly practised till today. For.
example they stared of democracy. Furthermore they were the origin of the Olympic games the largest sports event of the 21st century. Moreover they where also one of the first to begin theatres and plays.
Greece was divided into 3 city states, Athens, Sparta and Corinth. All ruled by their own government. You can now find out all about theses three governments in museums all over Greece
