The kingdom of heaven is somewhat “hidden.” We must intentionally search for it amidst the noise of the world that bombards us. We need wisdom to recognize it. Yet, our Lord reminds us that His kingdom is meant for everyone and He wants us to find it! Let us pray for the wisdom to recognize the kingdom of heaven in our midst and intensify our efforts to pursue it starting right now. There is no time to lose, and we will obtain the immeasurable joy that only comes when we live as disciples of Jesus.
“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which someone found and hid; then in his joy he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.” (Matthew 13:44)

Holy Trinity update from Fr Lorne
Eight Weeks of Masses with the new protocols.
We have a full house for July 26 — 49 registered and we will have a few chairs set up in the Gathering to accommodate our helpers.
In August, we will be closed on the holiday Monday and will not have Mass that day.
Staff will be taking vacation August 24 to 29. We will be closed, but are planning to have Monday morning Mass if we have a couple of volunteers to register people at the door and facilitate hand sanitizing and seating
Saturday 5 pm Mass suspended for the time being, until we can get enough helpers to assist.
Mass Registration details on page 5.
Continue to Pray for those who were expecting to join the church at Easter and for those who have been pre-paring for the sacrament of Confirmation and First Holy Communion. We have scheduled some dates in August for most of these sacraments to be administered.
Val will be emailing last year’s participants as well as families
with children in sacramental preparation.
2020 Holy Trinity CWL Trade & Craft Show.
CWL executive has cancelled the 2020 Trade & Craft Show to have been held in our parish hall on the weekend of Sept 25 & 26. With the current pandemic guidelines we feel it is safer for everyone to wait until next year. Thank you to everyone for your help in prior years and we look forward to
holding the trade show again in 2021.
Self-assessment Questions You will be asked the following when you book a weekend Mass, as well as when you arrive at Holy Trinity for any Mass:
Do you have COVID-19 or live with someone with COVID-19?

request to sit there, providing they are available with proper distancing.
Scam Alert—if you receive an email from a priest, that asks you to
contact them, be wary of replying There are a number of scams including ones purporting to be from Father Lorne. If you are unsure, call the office and delete the email without responding. We received one in the office last week (with Heather’s name in the subject line) “Do you have a moment I have a request I need you to handle discreetly. I am currently
busy in a meeting now, no calls so just reply to my email.” DELETE!

Tanzania, African Project— For the last several years, the Holy Trinity CWL has assisted Dr. Pam Petruka by collecting items required for medical clinics, orphanages and schools in Africa and other third world countries. Due to COVID we were unable to gather items for Dr. Petruka to send where needed. However we can now resume collecting items such as big suit-cases, clothing and shoes - especially for children, blankets and school bags. AS WELL - Dr. Petruka was given numerous small cases that can be used in the orphanages as First-aid, School Supply or Sewing Kits.
Thank-you to everyone who has taken a kit to fill. There are still a couple of kits at the church office that can be picked up and filled if anyone would still like to assist with this project.

Other Liturgy Changes—
Promptness—to ensure we can monitor who is
attending, the doors will be locked at the start of Mass.
This also allows us to provide the proper number of
hosts needed for that Mass.
Instructions about the Mass will be done either by
announcement or individual instructions before Mass
with detailed instructions for Eucharist.
Singing is a high-risk activity so we will not have this
except for special music as we can fit this in safely.
Proclaimers of the Word—First Reading, Psalm and
Second Reading will all be proclaimed by the same
person. This will be done from a microphone at the
front, with care being taken to not share a microphone
within 72 hours of another person. The ambo (lectern)
and the microphone there are to be used only by
Father Lorne.
Collection—a collection box is inside the glass doors
for your donation instead of being collected from you
in the pew.
Eucharist—hosts will be consecrated on a table and
parishioners will come forward, one household group
at a time. Stand behind the black tape line; Father will
say “The Body of Christ”; respond ‘Amen’, then step
forward and pick up the host closest to you; take a
step or two away before consuming.
We are working hard to help get you back to Mass.
Thank you for your patience as we try things to see
what works for Holy Trinity.
Holy Trinity has re-opened for Masses
with limited numbers
The latest Government of Sask guidelines for Places of
Worship, are permitting more people in churches that can
accommodate them.
At Holy Trinity, we have seating for approximately 50
people, dependent on whether they come as couples,
singles or families. We are registering as many as
possible for weekend Masses and monitoring how many
helpers we need to provide the controls required for
distancing and cleaning.
Sat 5 pm Mass will resume when we can fill the positions
needed Saturday afternoons.
Requests for Sunday Mass Attendance are being co-
ordinated in the office. Email [email protected] or call
the parish office (306) 543-3838. Requests will be
handled during our regular office hours, which normally
have been Monday to Friday, 9 am to 2 pm. Please
provide a day-time phone number so we can call you back
and confirm an attendance date. Questions about your
health will be asked at time of booking (see separate box).
Those registered are being given detailed instructions.
Weekday Mass Attendance - Generally weekday
Masses are Monday to Friday at 8:30 am. You do not
need to register in advance. Come to the north door; we
will record your name and phone number and ask the
health assessment questions. No Mass Thurs. July 30 or
Mon., August 3.
Church Open for Prayer—We will continue to have the
church open for prayer from 9 am to 2 pm, Monday to
Friday, unless otherwise published in the bulletin.
We may need to close occasionally to ensure staff aren't
working too many hours to accommodate the required
protocols.
Church Pews—Our church pews are marked to for the
2 metre guidelines of social distancing. Our upholstered
pews cannot be sanitized. If you wish to bring your own
seat cushion or towel, please do so. The wooden pews
on the south side of the church do not have upholstery. If
you prefer to sit there, check with the person directing this.
Seating for Mass will be done from front to back. For exit-
ing after Mass, it will be reversed, from back to front.
These directions will be announced at the Mass.
Photos on website—check these out on the home page
to give you an idea what to expect.

following when you book a weekend Mass, as well as
when you arrive at Holy Trinity for any Mass:
Do you have COVID-19 or live with someone with

July Stewardship Bulletin BitsJuly 5, 2020 - 14th Sunday in Ordinary Time“For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.” (Matthew 11:30)When we think of being good stewards, we may think that God is asking too much of us when He calls us to generously share our time, talent, and treasure. However, we must remember that we are not “owners” of anything, we are merely “stewards” of the gifts God has given us. All He is asking is that we give back a small portion, in gratitude, of what He has already given to us.July 12, 2020 - 15th Sunday in Ordinary Time“The seed sown among thorns is the one who hears the word but then the cares of the world and the lure of riches choke the word and it bears no fruit.” (Matthew 13:22)Does the lure of riches and material goods choke God out of your life? Are you so caught up in earthly activities that you have no time for God? Gratitude and generosity are virtues that we should strive to do on a dai-ly basis. Every decision we make either takes us one step closer to God or one step further away. What we receive at Mass every Sunday should be shared with others all the other days of the week as well.July 19, 2020 - 16th Sunday in Ordinary Time“The kingdom of heaven may be likened to a man who sowed good seed in his field…He who sows good seed is the Son of Man, the field is the world, the good seed the children of the kingdom.” (Matthew 13:24, 37-38)As children of God, we are all “good seeds.” We are blessed by God with the potential to accomplish much good in the world. We fulfill God’s plan when we spend time in prayer every day, use our skills to help oth-ers, and share our financial gifts to help build God’s kingdom on earth. Through our example of gratitude and generosity we sow “good seeds” on earth and ultimately help each other get to Heaven!July 26, 2020 - 17th Sunday in Ordinary Time“We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)Do you really trust God? Do you really believe that God will provide all that you need? Faith is a challenge for everyone at times. Putting our trust in God, in everything we do, in good times and in bad, means that God’s plan for our lives may be quite different than what we planned. When one door closes, another one opens. Trust in God, His plan is always better.

Livestreamed Masses
Dear Parents of the Ukrainian Program
As we begin to plan for re-entry into our schools for September, we need to make some decisions
around the delivery of the Ukrainian program.
Given the Chief Medical Officer’s guidelines, we will not be providing transportation for students to take
part in additional programs during the school day. This means your child will not be transported from
their home school to St. Matthew for Ukrainian classes. This also means that we will not be able to
establish a safe delivery model in their home school during the regular school day.
In consultation with our two Ukrainian teachers, Mrs. Kohuch and Mrs. Zwarych and working within the
parameters of the Chief Medical Officer’s guidelines and Regina Catholic School guidelines, we have
come up with the following delivery option. The program will have a two-prong approach to delivery,
online instruction and information as well as face-to-face instruction. The program will run on
Wednesday and Thursday evenings at St. Matthew School.
Wednesday – 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.
Thursday - 6 – 8 p.m.
We are allowing parents to bring their children on either of those evenings. Grades 1-4 will be with Mrs.
Kohuch and grades 5-8 will be with Mrs. Zwarych. We are trying to be as flexible as we can with our
delivery model during these unprecedented times. Every Monday there will be an online component
sent to the parents for the students to work through, this would take the form of lesson plans, songs,
poems, prayers and websites. This can be accessed when it best suits the family’s schedule.
The student’s health and safety is paramount to us and we will ensure that all sanitization protocols set
out by the Chief Medical Officer as well as Regina Catholic Schools will be followed to the letter.
We are looking for your commitment to this new delivery model so that the Ukrainian Program can
continue during this time of uncertainty. We recognize that the situation is fluid as we move forward
with re-entry into our schools. Please contact Susan Kohuch with your commitment. We look forward to
seeing your children in the fall and the continuation of Ukrainian Program. Stay safe and have a
wonderful summer holiday.
Yours in Christ
