SUMMER CAMPS!PIANO CAMP

JUNE 24 - 28TH 9 AM TO 4 PM DAILYTuition: $200

The Music Center presents it’s 26th annual piano day camp. The program is open to individuals entering grades 3-12 who have completed at least one year of piano instruction. All participants will be featured in a recital on Friday, June 29th in the Music Center’s McNally Recital Hall.

GUITAR CAMP JULY 11 - JULY 13TH 9 AM TO 12 PM DAILY

Tuition: $150 Join other adult and young adult (ages 14+) players in an intensive guitar seminar covering topics such as: Holistic body use in efficient playing, harmony fretboard theory and how it applies to you, improvisation, percussive finger-style guitar, spanish/latin guitar techniques and jazz rhythms and comping.

STRINGS CAMP JULY 15 - 19TH 9 AM TO 3 PM DAILY

Tuition: $220A wonderful opportunity for school age children to

play with peers and be coached by HNMC’s very talented String Faculty. This camp will include daily directed practice, small and large ensembles, coaching in repertoire, technique, performance practices, music history and theory.

CHAMBER MUSIC WEEKJUNE 17-JUNE 21ST 10 AM TO 4 PM DAILY

Tuition: $220An introduction to Chamber Music Repertoire for

piano, strings, and wind instruments. Daily Master classes and daily directed practice. High school students and older are recommended but younger students may audition. There will also be a culminating concert at the end of the camp. This is a wonderful opportunity to play with other musicians and gain more skills.

SINGERS PERFORMANCE WEEK! JULY 15TH -19TH 3:00 PM - 9 PM DAILY

Tuition: $250 Basic Training in vocal technique, acting for singers, stage movement, performance techniques, the crossover performer, and large and small ensemble.Recommended age/skill level:

Values and Beliefs:

Kyle Thiessen has played viola for seven years and studied with Claire Keeble for the past four years. He is currently in the Chamber Orchestra at Lewis and Clark high school and in the Spokane Youth Symphony. This past February he played in the all-state orchestra in Portland. He has won numerous awards for viola and piano at Music Fest, the Celebrate Music festival and MTNA Adjudications. He was a member of the Holy Names Honors Chamber Ensemble for two years. He received the Holy Names student scholarship in 2011. He also has been studying piano with his mother, Rachelle Ventura, for ten years and played trumpet for four years. He is a member of his school's community leadership group and enjoys composing music and reading up on current events.

Spring Summer Guitar Series

June 20th, 20137:00 PMVoice and guitar concert that includes classical, folk and original compositions that fuse blues and jazz traditions with pop and classical forms. Relax after work with a glass of wine or beer and appetizers and enjoy the exquisite performance that follows.

July 11th, 20137:00 PMSummer themed German celebration: Bach, brats and beer! Join the summer festive mood by eating a brat and drinking a beer (or a reisling?) then enjoying the lovely summer sounds of the classical guitar. Concert may be outdoors (weather permitting!)

Tickets are $12.00 ( Adults ) & $7.00 ( Students/Seniors) for each concert. Tickets will be sold at the door or can be pre-ordered by calling HNMC at 509-326-9516.

THE GOLF TOURNAMENT IS A FOUR PLAYER, BEST HOLE

FORMAT.

Players should be at the course for registration at 11:00 a.m. Play starts at 12:00 p.m. You may register as a group or individually.

Prizes will be awarded for contest and Tournament winners. The cost per player is $75.00 or $300.00 per team.

A Putting Contest will be held prior to the start of the tournament for a special

prize. Mulligans will also be available at the check-in; they will be from $1 to $3 each and can aid your scoring.

Golf Cart ma be rented if so desired (price not included in the registration fee). Prizes will be awarded to the longest drive and closest to the pin in both male

and female categories.

Join us at the dinner immediately following the tournament featuring prize drawings and awards. (Dinner is included in the registration fee) Proceeds to

benefit Holy Names Music Center Your Support is Appreciated!
