hand to those who need a glimmer of
hope, especially during this Lenten
Season. Feed our Poor Box so that we can help
the countless thirsty souls who seek our assis-
tance.
SILENT PRAYER:
Our parish has a group of people who will earnestly
pray for any needs you have. This is done anonymously
via a telephone prayer chain. If you have a special need
for which you are in need of prayer call: 738-3033,
894-0726, 731-4297 , 737-1333 or before 7:30 p.m. and
we will pray for you.
In today’s world of
24/7 sound bites, non-
stop commercials, loud
music and the like, it
can be difficult to hear
the really important
voices in our life.
Sometimes we just
need a quiet, safe place where we can listen
to our God who knows us, loves us and
wants to tell us what is best for us. The Mal-
vern Retreat House is such a place. Join the
men of our parish the weekend of April 27,
28 & 29 for their Malvern retreat. To learn
more, contact Frank Strawser at 302-593-
2362 or email [email protected].

Socks for Soldiers Cardinal Gibbons Assembly, Knights of
Columbus 4th Degree, is partnering with a
unique group that sends SOCKS to our
Army and Marine Units that are actively
deployed. We are partnering with the San
Clemente Marine Corps Group (501c) to raise money to
send additional approved Socks to deployed troops.
Why Socks?
The Infantry spends all of their time on
their feet.
Laundry facilities are not always available, field wash-
ing is not always possible and does not get the socks
100 % clean. Imagine the irritation!
WE ARE NOT COLLECTING SOCKS, RATHER,
WE ARE ASKING FOR DONATIONS!
You do not need be a 4th Degree to donate. This project
is open to all. Would you help support this Cardinal
Gibbons Assembly project with a donation of $3.00?
This Patriotic initiative will conclude March 31, 2018.
We, the Patriotic 4th Degree, are requesting the cost of
a pair of socks. We cannot accept socks because they
must meet GAO standards. Make checks payable to:
CARDINAL GIBBONS ASSEMBLY, C/O HOLY
FAMILY CHURCH. 15 GENDER ROAD, NEWARK,
DE, 19713. We will be collecting until the end of March
and then we will send donated funds to the Marine
Group in California. Thank You for your assistance.
God Bless our Troops!
OPPOSE HB 160,
a bill that will legalize Assisted Suicide
The bill, both lethal and unnecessary, acts to impose as-
sisted suicide on the citizens of Delaware and compromis-
es the integrity of the state’s health care system.
This dangerous legislation is part of a larger, national agen-
da through Compassion and Choices (formerly aka The
Hemlock Society) to normalize assisted suicide in as many
states as possible. It is opposed by leading medical commu-
nities, including the Delaware Medical Society.
Delaware citizens facing a terminal diagnosis and who may
still have years to live, deserve our support, love and care.
We urge the legislature and the governor to reject assisted
suicide, physician-assisted suicide, and euthanasia, as en-
shrined in HB 160. Please contact your DE Representative, today, to vote “NO” on HB
160
Present this coupon at Tony’s Bistro and Raymond
will donate 20% of the total bill to HF Church
