Feb 2 - Immaculate Heart of Mary will be hosting their final Annual Tea ,1:30 and 4:00 pm. Tea Theme: “Steeped in Tradition’. This final School Tea will be officially opened by the Sisters Servant of Mary Immaculate.

Feb 5 Community Health & Wellbeing Program sponsored by Area Congregations at

Temple Shalom, corner of Wilton and Grant Avenue, 1:30, Wednesday, Feb 6th. Topic Prostate Cancer Awareness. All are welcome. Refreshments and entrance are free.

Feb 9 - UCWLC St Joseph’s Branch cordially invites everyone to Valentine Soup & Sandwich Lunch for 12:30 pm. Entertainment provided by ‘Sych Band at 2:00 pm. Safe Environmental Policy The Archeparchy of Winnipeg has requested that all parishes in the Archeparchy develop a Safe Environment Policy that deals with harassment, discrimination and violence. Parishes are committed to provide a safe and respectful work environment for all staff, including clergy, volunteers and parishioners, so far as reasonably practicable.

As mandated by the Government of Manitoba’s Workplace, Health and Safety, all volunteers working with children, youth and vulnerable adults must agree to a Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry.

Holy Family has abided by this policy since its inception and has filed a Child Abuse Registry for all our catechism teachers and those working with children and youth (Altar boys, Children of Mary, etc.)

Holy Family Parish Pastoral Council is in the process of developing a Safe Environment Policy that will outline a safe and respectful work environment for our clergy, staff, volunteers and parishioners and will define objectionable or offensive conduct or improper use of power that will threaten any member of our Parish.

Further information will be available as we go through this process.

Who was Zacchaeus? Zacchaeus was a tax collector of the city Jericho and learned that Jesus the prophet was passing through the city. Since Zacchaeus was "short in stature," he ran ahead of the crowd and climbed up into a sycamore tree to have a better view of Jesus. When Jesus arrived, he noticed Zacchaeus in the tree and said to him, "Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for I must stay at your house today." This made Zacchaeus very joyful but the crowd "grumbled," or murmured in a complaint that Jesus "has gone in to be the guest of a man who is a sinner."
