NEED PRAYERS?

PRAYER CORNER

There will be no Adoration on Wednesday, January 1 due to the holiday. Please come to adore our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament on Wednesday, January 8, 7:00-11:45am.

WEDNESDAY ADORATION CANCELED

For those who have died:

For those who are ill:

For those in the Military:

The use of incense is found throughout scripture. In describing his vision of the heavenly worship, St. John says in Revelation 8:4 “and the smoke of the incense rose with the prayers of the saints from the hand of the angel before God.” From this we see that the smoke of the burning incense is a symbol of the prayers of the faithful rising up to God. The use of incense in Mass (the aroma and the rising smoke) reminds us of the sacred and that we are at prayer.
