HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC SCHOOL

Well I hope you are all surviving and doing well. We miss having you at school and pray things are back to normal soon. June is usually an exciting time at school with things winding down, final exams, year end projects and field trips. This year looks a little different, I would challenge you all to take field trip with your family, even if it is just to the park! Send me pic-tures:).

Our end of the year mass unfortunately will not take place this year. We are creating an end of the year slide show so keep an eye out.

As we approach the end of another busy school year at Holy Cross, we take time to reflect on the blessings, rewards, and challenges of the school year. It has been a blessing to watch your children grow academically, spir-itually, physically and socially. Our parents need to be commended for the numerous hours they spend committed to making this school year the best it can be. But most of all our students are respectful to each other, caring, and well respected by others outside the school. They make us all proud. This has been a challenging year and you have all dealt with it with grace.

The best part of Holy Cross is having a school community that is so accepting of every child’s unique needs. Our school is blessed in so many ways and I am excited for what next year will bring . Thanks to the Holy Cross school community for your tremendous efforts and dedication during the year.

School Year End Prayer

At the end of this school year we give thanks to God:

For all the teaching and learning that has taken place in our school,

both in and out of the classroom,

For the talents and gifts that have been shared and the challenges that have been faced;

For the burdens that have been lifted and the hurts that have been healed;

For the respect and care that has been given.

We give thanks for the friendships that have just begun and for those that have grown.

For the faith that has been lived in our daily struggles,

For the hope that has lifted our hearts on the dark days

And for the love that has kept us going.

We give thanks for the community that we are, and we ask you Lord -

Bless our students as they sit their exams: may your Spirit inspire them with confidence and calmness

Bless our families as we take our holidays, may our time together leave us with memories to cherish.

Pour out your love on us that we may return renewed and refreshed to continue our journey together .

We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.
