THE EUCHARIST

We come to church to meet God

and to worship him

When we do things wrong,

we say sorry and God forgives us.

When we praise God in church we

join in with the angels in heaven.

The Bible tells us about God, and

helps us know how we should live.

The gospels tell us about Jesus.

In the creed we remember that

God made the world and

everything in it, that Jesus died

for us and came alive again, and

that the Holy Spirit is God’s way

of being with us now.

We pray for the church,

for the world, for the local

community, and for those who

are ill or in trouble.

We ask God to take care of

those who have died.

God hears our prayers.

Jesus gave his friends

bread and wine, and said

‘do this in memory of me’

God loves us so much that he

wants us to be his children.

So when we pray,

we can call God, ‘Father’

God meets us and gives us his

grace when we have the bread

and wine or a blessing.

At the end of the service, we

thank God for everything he has

given us, and we ‘go in peace to

love and serve the Lord’
