Celebrate the tradition of the Three Kings When: Sunday January 6th 3 PM to 6 PM Where: ArtQuest Center at SteelStacks. The admission is free and there will be free gifts for Children 10 and under, live music, and fun activities for the kids and Holy Infancy will be selling our famous food there! New for 2019, Three Kings Day will feature special guest Einstein “The Snow Camel” from Peaceable Kingdom Petting Zoo in Perkasie. Eistein found international fame after he was spotted with his handler stuck in a Lehigh Valley snow storm in November. He’ll be on site during the celebration 3-5 p.m.

Every Wednesday we will have a Scripture Faith Sharing Group at 11:00 AM in the Rectory front meeting room before
the 12:15 Daily Mass.
Please come! Share your faith based on the upcoming Sunday Scripture Readings and strengthen our parish community! All

(tickets received 12/11 thru 1/6), will have the chance to win $150 and 4 dinner tickets for the Multicultural Dinner on
February 2nd!
Multi-Cultural Dinner – February 2nd 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
We begin selling the tickets for the Multi-Cultural Dinner this weekend, January 5th - 6th. The dinner and raffle drawing on February 2nd will continue snow or shine and the dinner tickets are non-refundable:
Adults - $15.00, Children – 5-12 years old
$5.00, (4 and under – free). There will only be a total of 300 dinner tickets
sold, and no tickets for the dinner will be sold at the door, so get them at Church or at the Rectory before Sunday, January 27th. Last year we were sold out, so do not wait! Special Event for Teens and
Their Parents
Parents… do you wonder why your teenager does the things they do? Do you feel they don’t always
appreciate you? It’s time for you and your teenager to get on the same page – and discover God’s plan
for both of you!
You and your teen are invited to a special event: “The Master Craftsman: God’s Amazing Plan for
Teens (and their Parents)” co-sponsored by the Office of Youth, Young Adult and Family Ministry and
St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church. Join them for a faith-filled evening with nationally-recognized
speaker Scott Anthony, as he helps us see the Truth of God’s guiding hand in our lives.
We encourage teens in grades 9-12 and their parents to attend! After this evening, you and your youth will look toward the future with a newfound
sense of hope.
The event will take place on Friday, January 11, 2019
at 7:00 PM, at St. Thomas More Church Family Center (1040 Flexer Ave, Allentown, PA 18103).
This event is free of charge. Light refreshments will

Celebre a tradição dos Três Reis Quando: Domingo, 6 de Janeiro, das 3h às 6h Onde: ArtQuest Center na SteelStacks. A entrada é gratuita e haverá brindes para crianças até aos 10 anos, música ao vivo e atividades divertidas para as crianças, e a Holy Infancy estará vendendo nossa famosa comida lá! Novo para 2019, o Dia de Reis contará com o convidado especial Einstein “The Snow Camel” do Peaceable Kingdom Petting Zoo em Perkasie. Einstein encontrou fama internacional depois que ele foi flagrado com seu manipulador preso em uma tempestade de neve em Lehigh Valley, em Novembro. Ele estará no local durante a comemoração das 3:00 às 5:00.

Começamos a vender os bilhetes para o Jantar Multi-Cultural neste final de semana, de 5 a 6 de Janeiro. O sorteio do jantar e da rifa no dia 2 de Fevereiro continuará com neve ou sol e os bilhetes para jantar não são reembolsáveis:
Adultos - $ 15.00, Crianças - 5-12 anos $ 5.00, (4 e menos - grátis).
Haverá apenas um total de 300 ingressos
vendidos, e nenhum dos ingressos para o jantar será vendido na porta, portanto, leve-os à Igreja ou à Reitoria antes do Domingo, 27 de Janeiro. No ano passado nós estávamos esgotados, então não espere!

Ajoelharam - se diante dele e o adoraram
Hoje, o profeta Isaías anima-nos: «De pé! Deixa-te iluminar! Chegou a tua luz! A glória do SENHOR te ilumina»
(Is 60,1). Essa luz que viu o profeta é a estrela que vêem os Magos em Oriente, junto com outros homens. Os Magos
descobrem seu significado. Os demais a contemplam como algo que admiram mas, que não lhes afeta. E, assim, não reagem. Os
Magos dão-se conta de que, com ela, Deus envia-lhes uma mensagem importante e que vale a pena deixar a comodidade do seguro e se arriscar a uma viagem incerta: a esperança de
encontrar o Rei leva-os a seguir essa estrela, que haviam anunciado os profetas e esperado o povo de Israel durante séculos.
Chegam a Jerusalém, a capital dos judeus. Acham que ai saberão lhe dizer o lugar exato onde nasceu seu Rei.
Efetivamente, lhe responderam: «Em Belém da Judéia, porque assim está escrito por meio do profeta» (Mt 2,5). A notícia da chegada dos Magos e sua pergunta propaga-se por toda Jerusalém em pouco tempo: Jerusalém era na
época uma pequena cidade e, a presença dos Magos com seu séquito foi vista por todos os habitantes, pois «Ao saber disso, o rei Herodes sobressaltou-se e, com ele toda a cidade de Jerusalém» (Mt 2,3), diz o Evangelho.
Jesus Cristo cruza-se na vida de muitas pessoas, a quem não interessa. Um pequeno esforço teria mudado suas vidas, teriam encontrado o Rei do Gozo e da Paz. Isso requer a boa vontade de procurar, de nos movimentar, de perguntar
sem nos desanimar, como os Magos, de sair de nossa poltronaria, de nossa rotina, de apreciar o imenso valor de encontrar a Cristo. Se não o encontramos, não encontramos nada na vida, pois só Ele é o Salvador: encontrar Jesus é encontrar o Caminho que nos leva a conhecer a Verdade que nos dá a Vida. E, sem Ele, nada de nada vale a pena.

para la venta de las taquillas, tenemos el Reto de Padre Andy! Aquellos que vendan uno de estos últimos
paquetes con los números resaltados, más las taquillas que ya tienen, y entreguen todas las taquillas y el dinero antes o el 6 de
enero. (taquillas recibidas desde el
11 de diciembre hasta el 6 de enero), tendrán
la oportunidad de ganar $150 y 4 taquillas para la Cena Multicultural
el 2 de febrero! La Cena Multi-Cultural – 2 de febrero 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Comenzamos a vender las taquillas para la Cena Multi-Cultural este fin de semana, del 5-6 de enero. La cena y el sorteo de la rifa del 2 de febrero continuarán aunque caiga nieve o este soleado y las taquillas de la cena no son reembolsables:

para la cena, y no se venderán taquillas para la cena en la puerta, así que cómprenlas en la Iglesia o en la Rectoría antes del domingo, 27 de enero. ¡El año pasado se vendieron todas las taquillas, así que no esperes!
