INTRODUCTION

From the beggining of existence, human beings performed ceremonies with the purpose of healing, celebrating

life and connecting with planet Earth and the entire cosmos. As they were living in different communities, their

beliefs and spiritual systems were also different, but all of them were leading to the same source. For them,

diversity was celebrated, as it was making life colorful and beautiful.

During our modern history, tradition and spirituality were almost forgotten as they were rendered obsolete by

the increased need to possess. The knowledge about the deepest understanding of life was almost lost.

Fortunately, the times are changing and today's generations of the knowledge keepers started to share

their wisdom with the world, and the world is finally listening.

Healing humans is an inevitable prerequisite for healing the planet Earth in order survive on it and live a life

aligned with nature. We need to look at „the big picture“ and not just live our lives trapped in dual belief

systems, within which we are dividing everything into good and bad, black and white, up and down. We need

to develop our awareness so we can understand that both ends of the spectrum are the building blocks of

reality. The only way to start developing this awareness is to dive within ourselves; our subconscious mind,

our soul, our own DNA script. It is only within ourselves where we can heal our wounds and traumas and work

on our karma.

Creation left us tools and ways to do this work – sacred plants, songs, dances, rituals and special

techniques. They are so powerful that there is no illness that cannot be healed or brought to the light

of understanding of why we need to hold and carry our burden so that we can end our path filled with

joy and acceptance.

OUR HEALERS

GUSTAFO ZAINA (Argentina)

Curandero, Aahuascero, Kambo expert and great healer lives in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He

began his long path as a healer after a ceremony with the Ayahuasca drink directed by the shaman Don

Victor Nieto from Peru back in 2006, when he started with a deep and intense study of the Traditional

Vegetalist Medicine of the Amazon. In October of the same year, after participating in 4 more rituals in his

hometown, he decided to go to a 9-day initiation retreat organized by that same healer in Minas Gerais, Brazil,

where he did his first Diet with the ancient sacred plants used for thousands of years. That was the first of

eleven Diets in 9 trips including visits to Iquitos, Tarapoto and Pucalpa in the jungle of Peru and Cuzco.

Every step he took was for the purpose of training to become a serious curandero (doctor) and facilitate serious healing work, which the native people practice in order to establish powerful links with nature, heal

themselves and understand the purpose in life. He was in training as a healer for 8 years, while offering Medicine regularly, sharing and directing ceremonies individually, and in groups. He had different

Astrology (following the line of Casa XI founded by the anthropologist and physicist Eugenio Carutti), singing classes with Paloma Kippes , Hatha / Kundalini & Iyengar styles Yoga classes, courses of Vipassana

Meditation and of the 5th Dimension disseminated by David Miller, Andean Cosmo vision with Nicolas Pauccar Calcina. He has also worked for 13 years giving Thai and Californian massage sessions, integrating

techniques such as Trigger Points Pain Relief Therapy, Deep Tissue with concepts of Bioenergetics, Rolfing and incorporating Release that comes from the Trager method.

He is one of those people who can be called happy, fortunate and grateful, being able to offer their humble work and contribution to the evolution of the society on this planet Earth with passion.

LORI KIN PAXTLIXOXITL (Mexico)

Lori is Mexican Medicine Woman and Environmental Activist. She heals throught Okan Nabane’ (1) and Oj Ka´Maya (2) ancient paths of Mixtek, Zapotek and Maya people.

She is best known for her leading role in organizing tribal practices as a priestess of Mexico's Black heritage “third root” with indigenous and ethnic sacred rituals. She practices healing arts and traditional medicine ceremonies, she is an unconventional Herbalist and Alchemist of Medicinal Cacao. She works with diverse

oracle arts such as spirits, crystals, seashell, cacao, coconut reading as a sacred dances, art therapy workshops and Tematzkalli. She is a specialist in prehispanic gastronomy and indigenous culinary traditions

and medicinal cuisine. She is the Guardian of Itzamná’s Temple Mayan God and Temple Ebben Ku Portal Xibalba Town of Sacbe.

Gong practitioner licensed by teachers Silvana Leskovar and Mirjana Maksimović, leaders and directors of

centre „Prema Vama”, which he graduated from. Centre “Prema vama” is the main branch of German “Petter

Hess academy” in South-eastern Europe - the Institute for Practitioners of Sound massage and Sound

therapists based on ancient teachings from Tibet, Nepal and India, implemented in Western medicines for

neurosurgical, neuroscientific and psychiatrist departments.

He is a student of Reiki, taught by Master Ivan Čuljak Šinco, Quechua shamanism and Lakota Shamanic

drumming techniques taught by Inka priestess Mirela Vukman Neylan, and Sacred Drumming, taught by

friend and teacher Marko Boric - licensed from British „College of sound healing“, student of original native

teachers by direct line of Lakota and Ojibway North American Indian tribes.

Mak was called by the natives themselves to step on a long path of curandero and work with Sound and Sacred

plants, so he is currently in the process of intense study, making trips to South America to live there and learn

with his spiritual family and main teachers Quichua Maestro Don Javier Arevalo Shahuan, Maestra Jessica

Ramirez Seopa, Shibipo Don Jose and other teachers of the Amazonian jungle and Quero Luis from the Ande mountains.

His specialization will be for a surgeon.

WAY OF THE DRUM

Marko is making drums and facilitating courses for over 10 years. He studied for years in order to develop and improve his skills with many masters of African drums, and participants of the

courses regard him as a capable and gifted teacher.

In 2006 he went to Djembe classes by Krešo Orešković, where he learned the West African rhythms and attended workshops in various masters of Djembe drum such as Adama Drame, Seckou Keita, Ton Ton Syla and Aly Keita. He studied Jamaican drumming through private

tutoring in Frankfurt with teacher Geronimo Dehler and he is a student of Peter Hess academy. So far he has worked with many schools, kindergartens and universities and running educational

workshops in Zagreb ZOO. He worked as a servicer of drums for “Lado” –Slavic native singing group. He has very successful cooperation with many people and organisations. Besides facilitating group-drumming, he is also making African and Native American drums himself. For the past 8 years, he

actively practices Reiki and meditation. He completed courses in Core Shamanism and Incan Shamanism as practically applied. He has been attending lectures and workshops from Vernon

Foster, traditional Lakota medicine man and John Somosi, teacher of Ojibway traditional teachings. As part of the British College of Sound Healing, he ends one-year Sacred Drumming program, with

his teacher Steven Ash who he still meets for private tutoring and is now attending his courses to become the only teacher of the new generation in Europe of this technique.

Sacred Drumming is a technique which is taught to Steven by Wallace Black Elk, Lakota

spiritual teacher and medicine man. With this technique Marko continues lineage of North American Lakota teachers al so becoming Sacred pipe carrier one of the highest honors and

making sweat lodge ceremonies.

AYAHUASCA – „VINE OF THE SOUL“

Over the past decade, increasing numbers of Westerners have sought out the experience of this ancient and potent hallucinogenic tea, for wide-ranging reasons – to heal a serious illness, overcome addiction, experience a powerful transcendental awakening, get over debilitating grief, emotional trauma, and anxiety, or look for

creative a breakthrough.

Called the „Master Medicine“ by the healers of the jungle, Ayahuasca is used by the indigenous people of the Amazon region both as a cure-all tonic as well as a sacrament for important spiritual, social and cultural events. The tonic simade from two plants – the ayahuasca vine (Banisteriopsis caapi) and the leaf of the

charcuna plant (Psychotria viridis). Both plants are collected from the jungle to create a potent mixture that offers access to the realm of spirits and an energetic world that we are typically unable toperceive in our

ordinary state of consciousness.

It has been continuously reported as a life-altering experience that has the power to heal both physical and emotional ailments that Western medicine has failed to resolve.

EFFECTS

The effects of ayahuasca differ drastically from person to person.The most common physiological effects of ayahuasca is the purge or la purga (vomiting). It is one of the most important parts of the ceremony, as it is

serving as a deep clean of the impurities that are blocking the body from optimal functioning.

Other physical effects include diarrhea, shaking, chills and sweats, body aches, involuntary movements, and other symptoms that resemble food poisoning or the flu. During an Aya journey it is difficult walking or getting

around. Physical effects can be expected before having any visual hallucinations. The onset typically begins within 20 – 60 minutes.

Some of the psychological effects that have been reported include, mild to extreme euphoria, loss of ego or dissolution of ego, profound feelings of connection with the universe and a renewed sense of love, empathy

and compassion for everything living in it. There is a sense of peace and acceptance of others including plants, animals and the world at large. Often times people find relief from depression and experience deep emotional

healing of past traumas.

KAMBO – FROG MEDICINE

Kambo is the venomous secretion of Phyllomedusa bicolor (the giant leaf or monkey frog), a bright green tree frog native to the Amazon basin.

They have a distinctive song that can be followed to collect them at night. Captive specimens are tied by the legs and harmlessly stressed to induce the secretion: a waxy substance scraped onto wooden splinters from

the back and legs of the frog. Once dried, kambo can be stored for upwards of a year without losing its potency. For use, it’s mixed with saliva or water and directly applied to specially made skin burns.

Kambo has a range of therapeutic applications, both medical and psycho-spiritual. The secretion is known

for its powerful emetic or purgative effects – traditional uses include eliminating toxins, increasing strength and stamina, and dispersing negative energy. Despite its initial unpleasantness, kambo is widely sought out to

revitalize body and mind.

EFFECTS

The immediate effects of kambo are intense and unpleasant but short-lived, usually lasting no more than 30-40 minutes. They include a feverish rise in temperature, sweating, shivers, and dizziness as the heart rate

becomes rapid. The blood pressure may rise or fall dramatically, accompanied by an increased awareness of the veins and arteries. Many people report a tingling or burning sensation like electricity that starts from the

points and spreads through the body.

Overwhelming nausea is generally unavoidable with kambo and purging is likely, either by vomiting, defecation, or both. Other effects include a feeling of pressure in the head, neck, and torso, stomach pain,

inflammation of the throat, dry mouth, blurred vision (or temporary blindness), difficulty moving, and numb, swollen lips and tongue.

After the effects have subsided, people report feeling great physical strength, increased mental energy,

decreased stress, sharpened senses, and enhanced focus. It is therefore used as a complementary substance to Ayahuasca, if and when necessary.

CHIRIC SANANGO – STRICT YET COMPASSIONATE TEACHER

As with most plants used for spiritual purposes in the Amazon region, Chiric Sanango is regarded as not only flora, but as a spirit with great powers. Regarded as the male counterpart to Ayahuasca, it is often ingested

along with it in shamanic retreats.

Combining Chiric Sanango with Ayahuasca can help to make the journey with the mother plant more pleasant.

Chiric Sanango is a flowering shrub, and member of the nightshade family, which has been cultivated for

millennia by people in the Amazon. It is used often to treat fevers, alleviate pain associated with arthritis, and to increase libido. Beyond this, it’s also used by shamans to transform our inner landscape.

Chiric sanango, it is said, is a strict yet compassionate teacher. His goal is to align us with our higher selves,

while opening our hearts to the unity of universal love, as it is said to open the gates toward emotional healing. Associated with the sacral chakra, it has helped many individuals cultivate a higher level of self-esteem, which

in turn significantly alters their treatment of themselves and others.

EFFECTS

Usual effects include lack of coordination and motor skills, nauseousness, vomiting, dizziness, an itching sensation (“chiric” means “itchy” in the native Peruvian language of Quechua), and a release of repressed

emotions. Some individuals report better understanding of the mighty connectedness that exists between all living things following their experience and rising levels of mental clarity.

It is said to be a warming plant for a cold body and a cold heart – allowing the individual to feel a more

broad sense of identity that aligns with his brothers and sisters across the planet.

PALO SANTO TEA

We will be opening the Preparation treatment with an introduction and explanation of the history of Sound

healing, shamanism, shamanic healing techniques, shamanic journeys, ethics, plant medicines healings while

serving Palo Santo tea.

Palo Santo is a healing, spiritual wood, one that evokes mindfulness and being in the moment. Beyond its

energy cleansing and creativity boosting properties, Palo Santo has many other benefits. Historically, it has

been a source of traditional medicine in South America used to relieve colds, flu symptoms, asthma, headaches,

and inflammation.

When drank as tea, it boosts the immune system, helps soothe maladies of the mind and spirit such as

depression, stress, anxiety, and emotional pain. These symptoms are common in our modern lives where we

often don’t take enough time to get out into the natural world to centre ourselves, away from pollution and

environmental stress.

In addition to helping the physical and mental symptoms listed above, Palo santo tea will go a long way

to restoring your spirit.

After a thorough detoxication by “Banjo de Vapor” (steam sauna), we will start with the strict “La Dieta” pre-

ceremonies process.

Banjo de Vapor has many health benefits. It will improve your circulation and is beneficial for the overall cardiovascular health and it lowers your blood pressure. It regulates your Cortisol levels (stress hormone), which will heal your mind and improve your focus. It clears congestion by encouraging deep breathing. It

promotes skin health, as it is opening your pores and rinsing away the toxins trapped underneath the skin. It also boosts your immune system by stimulating leukocytes – cells that fight infections.

It is crucial that our body is clean and prepared so that the Sacred plants can heal us as best they can,

as our impurities are making their work more difficult.

This will prepare your body for further spiritual work.

LA DIETA

AND THE PREPARATION PROCESS

The Ayahuasca diet and these dietary guidelines are essential to get the most out of your healing xperience with Mother Ayahuasca. Ayahuasca works with your body in strong biochemical & energetic ways. Everything

you put into your body effects how these plants work within you.

If you really want the most out of your Ayahuasca experience, following the Ayahuasca diet below is highly recommended.

Everything put in, on, or around your body (especially food) must be considered in terms of how it harmonizes or clashes with these natural plant medicines, and the work they are trying to do inside your body and energy

field. In order to maximize your healing and avoid any negative experiences, we follow and recommend a specific Ayahuasca diet for our Ayahuasca retreats. You can think of this as creating a blank canvas within your

system so the plants have as much space as possible to heal you without competition from other sources or interference from lower vibrational energies.

Another way to look at it, is that you need to be as clean as possible for the Ayahuasca tea to work inside you to

its greatest capacity. By eliminating certain things from your diet, what you’re doing is cleaning your body – physically and energetically – so that the plants can work and heal you to their fullest. These guidelines also

apply to post-dieta, the period in your life after your Ayahuasca retreat. From the perspective of this shamanic tradition, each plant represents and holds a different spirit, and in traditional thinking the work with

Ayahuasca is not considered finished until many months after the actual ceremony. By working with the plants we not only access the biological healing properties of the plant on a physical level, but also commune with the nature spirits who work through them. These plant spirits must be totally respected within the body. They can

intensely heal and transform you, but if you disrespect their gifts by contaminating your body once they are inside you, there can be consequences. Following the Ayahuasca diet can go a long way in demonstrating

respect to these spirits.

This is not something to be taken lightly. A person can get very ill, or experience a wide array of unpleasant experiences, physically, energetically and spiritually if they disrespect the plants, or disregard the guidelines of the retreat. If you can not follow the Ayahuasca diet outlined on this page, then it is very likely that our retreats are not for you. However, if you can, then you can prepare yourself for some of the deepest healings, teachings,

realizations and transformation that no words can ever fully describe.

We will provide all your food during your Ayahuasca retreat, as well as full information for post-retreat care. Your diet will be locally sourced and mainly consist of fresh vegetables.

AYAHUASCA DIET PREPARATION

Before your arrival please consider the following guidelines. These guidelines are in place for your ultimate well-being, and so that you can get the most out of your experience with the medicine.

The Ayahuasca tea that is served during your ceremony is a puro Ayahuasca, very concentrated sacred plant brew coming direct from Peru prepared by a professional Vegetalista and Ayahuascero - Curandero Leonardo who had dedicate his life to follow tradition of his ancestors and professionality in cooking of Ayahuasca medicine. He is

very well known for cooking in his centre and preparing medicine for other centres in Iquits region. He is a beautiful soul, with highly positive, light energy having holiness and modest approach to the true plants and La

Madre.

In order for these plants to work within you to their greatest capacity, it is important that you prepare yourself to receive them. All of the following should be thought of as a “minimum” – the more you can prepare yourself and

your body before your retreat, the more effective your retreat will be!

3-4 weeks before drinking Ayahuasca:

– Avoid any recreational drugs including marijuana,alcoholand and sexual contact IMPORTANT: Please read our Medical Guidelines on the last page for information regarding specific supplements and medications. This is especially important for people who are currently taking any type of medication or supplements. It is our policy that all guests must be free of pharmaceutical intervention 30 days prior to their retreats. Consult with your

doctor if you need to stop taking any medication.

2 weeks before drinking Ayahuasca:

Basically foods that are aged, preserved, dried, fermented, pickled, cured (meats), rancid, old, outdated, overripe, or even

slightly spoiled.The following foods are recommended to be avoided with MAOIs:

Meat that is not fresh, especially unfresh liver (fresh meat and fresh liver are safe) Smoked,

fermented, pickled (herring) and otherwise aged or dried fish, lox; any fish that is not fresh Sausage, bologna, pepperoni, salami, corned beef Aged cheeses (cottage cheese and cream cheese are safe)

Protein extract Liquid and powdered protein dietary supplements

Brewer’s yeast, yeast vitamin supplements, or yeast extracts Fermented tofu, fermented bean curd, fermented soybean paste, soy sauce

Canned soups, or soups made with protein extracts or bouillon Miso soup (contains fermented bean curd)

Shrimp paste Sauerkraut

Fruits that are bruised or even slightly overripe, especially bananas and apples; raisins and other dried fruits, fig newtons, etc.

Avocados, if ripe or overripe (slightly underripe avocados are fine in moderation). Guacamole should be avoided. Dairy products that are close to the expiration date or that have been unrefrigerated (fresh yogurt is safe)

Aspartame (Nutrasweet), Fava beans, especially if overripe Peanuts – in large quantities Raspberries – in large quantities Spinach, New Zealand prickly or hot weather – in large quantities Chocolate – in large quantities

Caffeine (note: in a few rare individuals, there may be a severe interaction with even small amounts of caffeine)

This time is also an excellent opportunity for you to cut anything else out of your life which you may feel is not in line with your highest truth and potential. Once again, the more “sacrifices” that you can make in cutting out these things

from your diet in preparation for your experience, the fuller your experience can be. Mother Ayahuasca is sensitive to the amount of importance that you place on your healing, and we find that she tends to reward hard work!

After Ayahuasca – Continued self-care

For your wellbeing and the integration of your healing, we suggest that you continue to keep your body and habits as clean as possible. The healing process with these medicines does not stop after their effects are no longer noticeable in your consciousness! The spirit of the plants will be with you for a long time after your retreat, and you can greatly help the process of your healing and transformation by adhering to the following schedule:

For 10 Days, avoid fried foods, processed sugars, frozen or icy cold foods/drinks

For 2 Weeks, avoid fermented foods, red meat, coffee, dairy, citrus, raw nuts

For 1 Month, avoid alcohol, pork, chilli

Note on sexual contact: We recommend that you avoid sexual contact for 30 days before, and 2 week after your

ceremony. This can make some people’s jaws drop, we understand! However, there are some very important reasons for this that we would like to discuss.

During your retreat with us, the Ayahuasca Tea and that you will be drinking will be opening you so deeply energetically, so as to really make space for the plants within you to do their work, heal you, and share all of their gifts with you. When

you connect with another person in a sexual way, you share very deeply with that person. There is a great deal of energetic “give-and-take”, even between people who have never sat with the medicine before, and who may not be as open as you will be following ceremony. The openness that you will experience may cause you to “take on” energies from another person which may not be in line with your own healing and transformation. So, to maintain the integrity and the

momentum of your healing (which continues far longer than the time you spend with us) it is very important that you keep your energy to yourself. Additionally, it is recommended that men avoid all ejaculation for the same time period, as there is great power in reserving the sexual energy to increase and strengthen your healing process. This abstinence is

also important because it really helps give you space to be able to work with yourself. So as not to bring your focus externally, but really to hold the space for you to concentrate on your inner journey, the healing journey which led you to this sacred medicine. We don’t believe in rules “just because.” This really is for your own benefit, so you can get the most

out of your healing experience, and give you the space that so many people do not give themselves, to really be with yourself. And in that space, to find greater depths of peace, joy, and bliss.

If you feel like you can adhere to these dietary guidelines, then the magnitude of healing that you can experience is so far beyond words. Healing on every level – mentally, physically, emotionally & spiritually.

So if you’re up for it, and you can find the will within to remove these things in your life for a short

period, to gain gifts that will last a lifetime, then you can work with THE MADRE. !LOVE AND LIGHT!

Below is a list of SOME medical conditions, pharmaceuticals and supplements that are not compatible with

drinking Ayahuasca.

Pharmaceuticals and Supplements Different substances require more or less time to leave the body, so please consult your doctor to establish how long

your particular medications will take to clear from your system. It is vitally important that you are honest with us and with yourself about your medical history. There can be serious consequence of mixing Ayahuasca with pharmaceutical medications, and it is imperative that you take caution and undertake this healing journey with a full respect for this fact.

Below is a PARTIAL list of medications which are NOT to be present in your body during and before your encounter with

Ayahuasca:

-SSRI’s (any selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor)

-amphetamines (meth-, dex-, amphetamine) -antihypertensives (high blood pressure medicine)

-appetite suppressants (diet pills) -medicine for asthma, bronchitis, or other breathing problems

-antihistamines, medicines for colds, sinus problems, hay fever, or allergies (Actifed DM, Benadryl, -Benylin, Chlor- Trimeton, Compoz, etc.)

-CNS (central nervous system) depressants -Antipsychotics

-alcohol
