A rental car is a great way to see Fiji. It’s easy as driving is on the left

hand side of the road, the same as Australia. You’ll get to experience

the “real” Fiji as you pass local villages, scenic views of reefs and coral

lagoons, river gorges, rainforests, mountains and a patchwork of sugar

cane fields that seem to go on forever. Travelling on the main Queen

and Kings roads, you can completely circumnavigate the main island of

Viti Levu in just under 500 kilometres.

transferring Holiday Specialists clients for over 10 years. Inland Tours have a

modern fleet of over 14 vehicles with a mixture of minivans and 22 seater

usually on their way quicker than most other companies. Their fleet caters

for those clients who want the comfort of a private charter as well as those

who prefer the value of a seat in coach. Except in exceptional circumstances

seat in vehicle coaches will drop off clients at a maximum of no more than

Park is Fiji's only wildlife park. Kula Eco

Park is an environmental showplace

dedicated to the conservation of

Fiji's indigenous Fauna. It has a fine

collection of rainbow-feathered tropical

birds and an aquarium stocked with

examples of local sea life. Allow 2 hours

here, since this is one of the South

Pacific's best places to view local flora

and fauna in a natural setting. Children

will love it and the hands on experience

to feed the turtles, or pat an iguana

always brings a smile to their faces.

If you get the opportunity participate

in a Fijian Cooking Class which is

offered by some resorts. These

interactive classes demonstrate how

to prepare and make typical Fijian

dishes such as the refreshing dish of

kokoda (pronouced kokonda) sweet

desserts made with coconut or the

tantilising spices in some curries.

Kula Eco Park - The Wild Side of Fiji Meke

Of course, no trip to Fiji would be complete without experiencing an evening of traditional Fijian song and dance - 'meke' - by local villagers or resort island staff members. The Fijian meke features both men and women in a program of traditional song and dance. Most hotels and resorts in Fiji organise special Fijian cultural nights, combining about 30 minutes of meke performance followed by the lovo feast, where food cooked in an underground oven of hot rocks is laid out along with a wide array of other delicacies!

Village Visit

Visiting a Fijian village is often the

highlight of many holiday-makers.

Most resorts, especially those in the

islands offer village visits and guided

hikes, some to their local village within

walking distance or a boat ride or

bus trip away. With a traditional life

based on community, visiting a village

is an overwhelmingly friendly travel

experience. Visitors are welcomed by the

Chief or village elders in a welcoming

Kava ceremony, they are then allowed to

visit some people's homes and generally

immerse themselves into learning about

daily Fijian life.

Fijian language

The Fijian language is a well established language with its roots in the Malayo-

Polynesian family of languages. English is the official language of Fiji; therefore just

about everyone in Fiji speaks it. However, the traditional Fijian language still lives

and is widely spoken in many different dialects.

VALIDITY

Prices and all other information in this brochure are provided

only as a guide. Please check correct price at time of booking.

BOOKINGS

Booking requests can be made through Holiday Specialists.

Travel Licence Number 2TA 06577. Bookings are subject to

availability of flights, accommodation, transfers and any other

services at the time of booking request. All verbal and written

quotes are subject to change until a final confirmation of the

booking is made in writing and the receipt of the required

deposit. The person making the booking will be deemed

to have accepted these booking conditions on behalf of all

travelling. All travellers should understand that the names

given at the time of booking MuST match the name that

appears in their passport. If the name is incorrect, and tickets

are issued in the incorrect name, the traveller is responsible

for the applicable reissue fees and any increases in departure

taxes and levies.

DEPOSITS, TICKETS AND BALANCE OF PAYMENTS

A minimum deposit of $100 per person (including children) is

required within 7 days of confirmation of booking, however, for

bookings to the uSA and Canada a minimum deposit of $300

per person (including children) will apply and is required within

5 days of confirmation of bookings. You will be advised of any

different deposit and final payment conditions for any service

at the time of booking. Receipt of deposit acknowledges you

have read and accepted the Company’s Booking Conditions.

Payment for issue of tickets is subject to airline conditions,

as a guide this will range from immediately to within one (1)

week of booking. Balance of payment is due 60 days prior to

departure, or earlier as advised. If no payment or notification

has been received by the due dates, we reserve the right to

treat the booking as cancelled. In the event of cancellation only

monies left, after all suppliers and other cancellation fees have

been deducted, will be refunded. If the booking is made 60

days or less prior to departure, full payment is required at the

time of booking. Payment by Credit Card may incur surcharges.

In certain circumstances your credit card may be charged by

the Principal and in these instances you authorise Holiday

Specialists to pass on your credit card details to that Principal.

CANCELLATIONS

Should you or any member of your travelling party be forced

to cancel, you must notify us in writing. Cancellation fees are

a minimum of the deposit paid or payable and up to 100% of

the total land content. This cancellation fee will be in addition

to any fee charged by the airline/s or other carrier/s. Once your

airline ticket is issued and subject to the airline conditions,

cancellation fees, usually up to 100% of the cost of tickets

will apply. No refund is available for cancellations after travel

has commenced and no refund can be made in respect of

accommodation, meals, tours, sightseeing excursions and any

other services included but not utilized.

AMENDMENT TO PRICES AND ITINERARY

Amendments requested by you to a confirmed itinerary may

incur an amendment processing fee that will be a minimum of

$50 per booking per amendment plus any fees levied by any

of the service providers. A deposit held confirms your booking

but does not guarantee prices. If we have to amend the price

or details of all or part of a booking for reasons that were

unforeseen and not of our doing we reserve the right to adjust

prices as necessary at any time. This would only occur due to

factors which are outside our control and include such things

as currency fluctuations or any other charge or change that

could cause airfare increases, hotel price increases or any other

increases in services that are part of the booking price. If such

changes in itinerary and prices did not suit, you would have

the right to ask for rearrangement of your itinerary or cancel

completely. In the event of rearrangement or cancellation, only

monies left after all suppliers and other cancellation fees have

been deducted, will be refunded.

INSURANCE

We strongly recommend that you purchase a comprehensive

travel insurance policy which will under certain circumstances

and subject to policy conditions, cover such things as

cancellation fees, baggage, personal liability, accident and

medical cover. It is strongly suggested that insurance be paid

with deposit payments.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

All travellers must be aware of passport, visa, health and any

other requirements of overseas countries to which they intend to

travel. It is the responsibility of all the members of the travelling

group to obtain a valid passport and any visa, health or other

travel documentation required by the overseas countries. We will

not be responsible and will not be held liable for any expenses,

costs or losses incurred in relation to a traveller’s failure to

comply with overseas countries entry/health requirements.

BAGGAGE

It is the traveller’s responsibility to check all travel documents

for applicable baggage allowances as this can vary between

carriers. Any excess baggage (if permitted by individual

carriers) and any expense associated with same, is the sole

responsibility of the traveller.

RESPONSIBILITY

We will always try to do our best to make sure that all

your travel arrangements are satisfactory but to the extent

permitted by law, we do not accept liability for any loss or

damage whatsoever that may arise from the supply of the

booked travel services. This includes acts or omissions or

default, whether negligent or otherwise, of all those providing

services in relation to the travel where there is a contract

between them and yourselves over which we have no direct

control. We do not accept liability damages, injury, delay, loss,

additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly by events

beyond our control, such as, but not limited to, fire, flood,

industrial action, equipment failure, civil disturbance, war, acts

of God, or acts of Government. It is the responsibility of each

traveller to ensure that he/she is in possession of the proper

travel documents and that they are in compliance with the

current government and transportation companies regulations.

AIR TRAVEL

Air Travel is subject to each airline’s conditions and limitations

of liability as set out in that airline’s conditions of carriage.

TRAVEL SAFETY

It is the responsibility of all traveller’s to be aware of the safety,

local conditions and issues that may exist at any destination

they are travelling through or to. One source of Travel advice is

LAW OF CONTRACT

Any contracts and any legal action arising are governed in all

respects by the law of the State of New South Wales, Australia.
