Please be reminded that the deadline for 2014 Property Tax

Payments is December 31st. Any taxes outstanding after this

deadline will be subject to a 12% penalty. Post dated cheques for

December 31, 2014 may be forwarded to the Town Office at

anytime.

4:30 pm on December 31st.

Tax Donation Receipts

The Town will issue tax deductible receipts for

donations to various local organizations such as:

LeRoy Leisureland Regional Park, LeRoy “Raise the

Roof” Rink Rebuild Project, LeRoy Assisted Living,

LeRoy Health Clinic, LeRoy Curling Club, LeRoy

Recreation Board and LeRoy Health Foundation.

To receive a taxable donation receipt, all

donations must be made payable to the Town

of LeRoy. If you require a receipt for the 2014 tax

LeRoy will be on Wednesday December 24th

and Friday January 2nd. Please have garbage

bagged, tagged and out at curb by 8:00 a.m. to

ensure you are not missed.

LeRoy Leisure Lotto The LeRoy Leisure Lotto has geared up again for the 11th Annual Lotto. The Early Bird Draw was held on

November 28, 2014. Winners of the Early Bird Draws were:

$1,000 cash prizes won by: Ray & Jeanne Cumming of Unity, Janet Athmer & Dorothy Engele of Humboldt, Wilf

& Donna Vandsteelandt of Tisdale, D & G Kitchen & C & G Uhrlich of Canora, Dennis Bender of Bruno, Ashley

McGrath of Lloydminster (won twice), Tracey Krieger & Donna Koski of Lanigan, Norman & Maxine Gierl of

LeRoy, and Arnold Wiebe of Kindersley.

The 1/2 carat Diamond Ring, sponsored by South China Jewelry, Saskatoon, was won by Doug Warwick of

Humboldt.

With everyone’s help we can succeed in selling out the 2014/2015 LeRoy Leisure Lotto as we have only about

1,002 tickets left to sell !! 50/50 is at $56,550 (take home $28,275) and growing!! Lottery Licence #LR14-0052 and

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CURRENT AND NEW RESIDENTS:

Thursday’s are garbage pick-up day. Please have your garbage properly tagged and in the front yard near the road by 8:00 a.m. The tags can be purchased from either Midway Co-op Store or the Town Office for $1.50/tag. Please keep in mind that every bag (max 77 litres) or can of garbage requires a full tag, (maximum weight is 44 lbs.).

Garbage exceeding the 44lbs or not having the full tag on will not be picked up.

The REACT Transfer Station Regular Hours:

Wednesdays—2 pm to 6 pm

Saturdays—11 am to 3 pm

Recyclable materials like cardboard, newspaper, etc. can be left in the bins located in the Midway Co-op Grocery Store parking lot. We need your help keep-ing this area clean, so please contact either REACT or the Town Office if the area needs attention.

LeRoy Rink Rebuild Project

The LeRoy “Raise the Roof”” project got an early

Christmas present on December 16th. ‘Granny’

Bea McGrath, together with her family and their

employees are donating $500,000 to the new rink

facility.

“The children need a place to play and develop

into responsible citizens” says Granny.

A plaque in memory of Grandson Derek, and

husband Gerald, will hang in the new building.

Public Meeting held on December 4, 2014

On Thursday December 4th, a Public Informational Meeting was held at the LeRoy School to update the

community on the “Raise the Roof” project. The meeting was well attended by the community with

approximately 100 people in attendance.

The Rink Project is expected to cost approximately $5.9 million. The Rink Steering Committee explained to

those in attendance the timeline and the fundraising efforts that have been undertaken to make our new

community centre a reality.

The LeRoy “Raise the Roof” committee would like to thank everyone for all of their generous donations!!!!

As of today we have raised $4 Million towards our new LeRoy Community Complex!!!!!!!
