NOVEMBER 2020

This year we have seen a lot of ups and downs, but during this time we have gotten closer as an industry and we are excited to finally close the year with the holiday season that brings us all together. Here at Terranea we are doing things a little different and navigating our way through this new normal right now, but our main focus is family. Family is what brings us all together. No matter where you are or what your holidays will look like this year, family is always important to us.

With the holidays around the corner, our Leisure sales team is looking forward to a very different holiday this year. We are all thinking out of the box. Valerie will be joining a zoom call and virtual meal with her family in Paris and Jennifer is going to have a California Christmas making sand angels with her little boy, and spending the holidays snuggling up with her new little bundle of joy with a warm cup of hot chocolate. Ashley is going to have a quiet Christmas at home with her girls and husband curling up by the fire and zooming her extended family. Alexis is looking forward to spending time with her whole family at her parents’ house and continuing their Christmas traditions by making their yearly Tamales.

Holiday CocktailA U T U M N S U N R I S EWhat’s special about this cocktail is its versatility and simplicity. It may be enjoyed with any spirit (vodka, gin, rum, tequila, whiskey, brandy etc.) and gives you the flavors of the holidays with a lighter twist. We chose Ford’s gin because of its delicate flavor and the egg white froth gives a beautiful silky texture. Perfect for enjoying before or during your traditional holiday dinner. Come try the Autumn Sunrise at mar’sel and celebrate the holidays the Terranea way.

INGREDIENTS:- 2oz Ford’s gin (or spirit of your choice) - 1oz house-made apple puree - 1/4 oz (quarter ounce) lemon juice - 1 egg white (or 1oz if using liquid egg whites) - Top with apple slice, luxardo cherry, and cinnamon dust

DIRECTIONS: Place the gin, apple puree, lemon juice, and 1 egg

white into a shaker container. Cover firmly with glass or shaker tin and dry shake (*means without ice) vigorously for 8-10 seconds. Uncover and fill with ice. Re-cover and shake again for 5 seconds. Uncover, place strainer over cocktail, and strain into martini glass. Top with apple slice, cherry, and cinnamon.
