ACCOMMODATIONLeisure Options believes in using only 4 and 5 star luxury accommodation for its holidaymakers, including twin share accommodation on all cruises. This ensures the highest quality and comfort of your holiday. We can also arrange a single room if you prefer, however a single supplement applies.

PRE/POST TOUR ACCOMMODATION PACKAGEIf you need an additional night of accommodation before or after your holiday, we can arrange it for you from $495 per night. This includes staff support from 4.30 pm on the day prior/post travel through to your departure, dinner, bed and breakfast.

AIRFARESAirfares are NOT included in the advertised price of the holiday except where indicated. We encourage travellers to book holidays early so we can negotiate the best possible airfares on YOUR behalf. Leisure Options pays for carbon offset on all airfares to assist with greenhouse gas emission reduction.

DEPARTURESAll advertised Leisure Options holidays depart from Melbourne. However, we are able to arrange for you to join the holiday on route or have a Tour Leader travel with you from your departure point. There may be an additional cost for this service.

TRAVEL INSURANCETravel insurance is not included in the price of the holiday but we strongly recommend all travellers obtain insurance. Leisure Options staff will provide you with a quote and policy to suit each holiday. If you want insurance, you will need to complete the application before your holiday starts.

TOUR LEADERSThroughout your holiday, your Leisure Options Tour Leaders will play a really important role in making sure you have a great time, see all of the sights, and are safe and well looked after. Basically, they are there to make sure that you have the care and support you need so you can relax and enjoy your holiday!

All of our Tour Leaders have passed police checks, have current first aid certificates and have access to 24 hour nursing advice and support. Tour Leaders do not share rooms with travellers but will be available to you whenever you need them.

ACTIVE NIGHTIf you need checking or intervention during the night (for example, due to a medical condition such as epilepsy or a history of nocturnal wandering) you will require an Active Night staff person during your holiday.

Leisure Options can arrange for Active Night support as part of planning your holiday. We take great care in selecting Active Night staff with appropriate qualifications and client-care experience. As not all holidaymakers require Active Nights, these costs are not included in the advertised prices of the holidays.

LEISURE OPTIONS GUARANTEELeisure Options guarantee to run every advertised holiday that has at least one or more fully paid booking. This guarantee covers Leisure Options holidays all year round, helping to take the stress out of planning your next trip.

THE LEISURE OPTIONS STORYLeisure Options is an accredited tourism business that has been offering supported travel services for over 22 years to help realise the holiday dreams of travellers with disabilities. In that time we have grown from a small home based business to an award winning company offering over 80 holidays each year. Despite growing in scope and size Leisure Options remains a proud family owned and operated business that prides itself on offering premium, boutique holiday and travel experiences. Our focus is on making what is often perceived impossible, possible, by ensuring that our tours are inclusive, barrier free and most of all, fun.

The owners Gary and Cathy are both actively involved in the business and are passionate about providing accessible travel for all by removing the emotional and physical barriers to travel. Gary has 15 years of business acumen having owned and operated several businesses prior to Leisure Options as well working in senior management roles with ASX listed companies. He has completed a Certificate IV Disability, enjoys getting away on tour and thrives on steering the Leisure Options ship. Gary is heavily involved in the community holding down committee and coaching positions in football, cricket, surf lifesaving and fishing and has a real passion to ensure everyone has the opportunity to fulfil their goals and aspirations in all facets of life. Cathy is a Division 1 registered nurse with 30 year’s experience in multiple settings including aged care, critical care and community nursing. She has competed her Certificate IV Disability and loves being involved in all aspects of the traveller’s care. She is always available for advice and support and helps train the Leisure Options staff to provide exceptional levels of care and support.

Leisure Options understands that the introduction of the NDIS has caused some uncertainty about travel, holiday arrangements and funding but rest assured that Leisure Options has been approved as a registered disability service provider under the Disability Act 2006 providing services for persons with a disability for the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).

To reward our loyal and valuable travellers Leisure Options is giving every traveller a FREE branded backpack for any holiday booked for travel prior to September 2017. The backpacks are stylish, sturdy, useful and a great keepsake from your holiday. Don’t forget every traveller also receives a complimentary photo album posted to them at the completion of their tour. That’s two great keepsakes to help you remember your holiday.

Building long term relationships with our travellers and their families and/or carers is something Leisure Options strongly believes in and we go to great lengths to ensure that everyone who deals with us enjoys a memorable and seamless experience. With an 80% traveller retention rate we believe our exceptional service is the reason our travellers return year after year. We hope you enjoy our latest holiday brochure and we look forward to helping you make you holiday dreams come true in 2017/18.

All of our cruises make both anchor and port stops where there are options for on shore tours or to explore at your own leisure. Port stops are fully accessible, however it is important to note that anchor stops require travellers to board smaller tender boats which are used to transfer passengers to shore. Travellers with limited mobility and wheelchair users will not be able to disembark the ship at these anchor stops. Due to popularity and limited cabin availability, we recommend that you book your Leisure Options cruise holiday at least 6 months in advance.

The Sunshine Coast is a very fitting name for this slice of paradise as it showcases over 100kms of pristine coastline and tropically warm weather.

• Visit the famous Eumundi Markets and browse the stalls for locally crafted products and produce

• Learn how ginger is grown and harvested and taste some tangy ginger treats before taking a train ride through the scenic gardens at The Ginger Factory

• At Australia Zoo venture into the African Savanah in search of giraffes, rhinos and zebras

Surrounded by calm bays and top surf beaches, heathland, rainforest and national parks, there is no wonder that an abundance of wildlife can be found around Anglesea.

• Learn about life on the Savannah from your bus tour and spot rhinos, zebras and giraffes, see hippos bathing in the wetlands and silverback gorillas hanging out, all at Werribee Open Range Zoo

• Enjoy the tranquil countryside of the Great Ocean Rd as we head to Blazing Saddles to meet, pat, brush and feed some of the beautiful, friendly horses

• Take in the scenery from the top of the Ferris Wheel, whizz down the giant slide and win some prizes on side show alley when we visit Aussie World

• Spot Nemo amongst the seals, sea horses, turtles, sharks, rays and more at Sea Life Mooloolaba

• Wander along the esplanade and relax with a coffee and cake in one of the Sunshine Coast’s many cafés

• Jump into a golf buggy and cruise around the greens of Anglesea Golf Course to take a closer look at the kangaroos that roam the grounds

• Experience Jirrahlinga Koala and Wildlife Sanctuary where you can learn more about some of your favourite Australian animals and have the chance to pat a cuddly koala or hold a slithery snake

• Aim for a strike as we head out of a friendly game of ten pin bowling

You will then be asked to pay a deposit of $300 per person if a Victorian holiday, $800 per person if an interstate holiday and $1000 per person if an international holiday. Upon receipt of your deposit, Leisure Options will immediately reserve a place on your selected holiday.

PAYING THE BALANCEThe balance of the holiday price must be paid not later than 60 days prior to the departure date of the holiday. Some holidays may require an earlier full payment. You will be notified of this when you book. If payment is not made by the due date, Leisure Options may treat you as if you have cancelled.

HOLIDAY GUARANTEELeisure Options guarantees to operate every advertised holiday for which it has at least one fully paid traveller, or your next equivalent holiday is FREE. This guarantee covers all Leisure Options holidays. Leisure Options will not cancel a holiday merely because minimum numbers are not met.

HOLIDAY CHANGE OR CANCELLATIONLeisure Options will endeavor to run all tours as published in the brochure. Despite the Holiday Guarantee occasions may arise, such as force majeure, which impose a change or cancellation beyond Leisure Option’s control.

Leisure Options reserves the right to: • Alter or modify itineraries as appropriate, and • Alter tour costs as necessary

Should change or cancellation of a tour occur, Leisure Options will give you reasonable notice of the change or cancellation, and if possible, offer a comparable alternative. If an alternative is not available or not acceptable to you, you will be entitled to either a full refund of monies actually paid to Leisure Options or transfer to another holiday without a transfer fee.

PRIVACY POLICYLeisure Options is committed to protecting your personal information. We will handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy which is available at www.leisureoptions.com.au.
