July 2012:

– Author Harrison Coerver presents his book, Race

for Relevance, to NSPE House of Delegates,

followed by facilitated discussion on applying its

concepts to NSPE.

Fall 2012

– Surveys of members, non-members and other

stakeholders

– Seven task forces formed

• Over 100 volunteers served from more than 40 states

– 3,000 plus hours of volunteer time invested in task force activities

Continue efforts to reduce operating costs, with the

goal of enabling lower dues by:

– Continuing Program Prioritization Task Force efforts to

exercise business discipline and eliminate non-essential

programs

– Implementing Member Value strategies aimed at:

• Concentrating resources on organizational strengths

• Collaboration and coordination of member services at each of the

three tiers

• Appropriate product and dues/non-dues revenue mix

• Effective membership and member services marketing and

delivery

• Continue efforts to increase the intensity and narrow the

focus of NSPE advocacy on issues relevant to the value of

the PE license

The Board has committed to considering

and incorporating this input into their

implementation of the Strategic Plan, if

approved.
