    PREP:Wipe wood with soft lint free rag. Sand lightly with 400 grit sand paper. Wipe off dust.

    Basecoat with Multi-Purpose Sealer, Dry. Sand again and wipe off all dust.

    PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS:Basecoat the entire piece Lamp Black. Dry.

    Trace design onto tracing paper. Lay transfer paper beneath tracing paper. Transfer major design only using stylus.

    Using a small Deerfoot brush dry brush the facial features and the hat with Lamp Black.

    Using a small Stencil Brush dry brush the hat and background with Dioxazine Purple and then with True Blue and then with Titanium White. When doing this use a circular motion.

    Dry brush around the face with True Blue.

    Randomly stencil Cadmium Yellow multi size stars around the hat. Shade some stars with Antique Gold and then some others with Pumpkin.

    Dry brush a Titanium White high light in the center of the stars. Shade around some stars with Lamp Black.

    Paint the eyes Titanium White. Paint the Iris fi rst True Blue . When dry fl oat Sour Apple green over the Iris. Paint the pupils Lamp Black. Add Titanium White dots.

    Dry brush fur strips areas in a diagonal motion on the face with Titanium White. Go side to side while doing this.

    Pick up some more Titanium White and stipple in the muzzle.

    Shade the bottom of the muzzle with French Grey Blue.

    Add tiny Lamp Black dots with a stylus.

    Paint a Lamp Black mouth line.

    Pull out long wavy Titanium White whiskers.

    Basecoat the nose Titanium White. Then paint the nose with a mix of True Red and Titanium White.

    Paint the Spider by picking up some True Red on a small Deerfoot brush and pouncing in a circular Spider shape. Shade with Napa Red. High light with Neon Pink.

    Using a 10/0 liner and Lamp Black paint the legs. Dry. Then paint again with Titanium White.

    Use the back of the brush handle and dot in True Blue eyes and a tiny Lamp Black pupil.

    Use a round brush to paint the words HOCUS POCUS Titanium White. Then pick up Antique Gold and paint again. Outline each letter using a 10/0 liner and Lamp Black.

    FINISH Pick some Antique Gold on an old tooth brush and fl eck.

    Varnish with two coats of varnish.
