Rules

6 players per side5 field players 1 goalie

Normally 3 forwards (attackers) and 2 defensemen

Cannot use your hands Can use your feet-but NOT to score

Penalties

Power play-playing with less players because they committed a penalty

High Sticking-raising your stick above your waist

Slashing-using the stick to hit other players

How to hold and swing the Hockey stick Holding the Hockey stick

Place non dominate hand at the top of the stick. Place dominate hand about ¾ down the hockey

stick

Swinging the Hockey Stick Pull the top of the stick towards your body Push your dominate hand towards your target.
