Operational Summary Coalition ground forces have entered Iraq in strength

Iraqi ballistic missile threat to Kuwait: Area of operations for shorter range missiles is considerably reduced All of Kuwait remains under threat of SCUDs, Iraq’s largest missiles All missiles fired against Kuwait yesterday were intercepted by Patriots

Last night saw extensive strikes against regime targets in Baghdad and other locations by cruise missiles and coalition aircraft Power is still available in Baghdad area

Coalition forces occupy Umm Qasr, Safwan, Jalibah airfield Umm Qasr is undergoing evaluation, more info over next few days

As of 0500L today, level 1-2 threats exist in Umm Qasr Humanitarian access is decision of commander on ground

No CA reports have yet come from Safwan
