Dear Caravanning Friends,

We have been building caravans for over 43 years at our

company’s site in Fockbek (near Rendsburg), Germany. Since

the beginning, we have always strived to make each new gene-

ration of caravans better than the last. And we have achieved

this time and again by introducing new ideas, technical inno-

vations and contemporary features. Experienced staff, modern

production facilities and comprehensive expertise ensure our

consistently high standards and have made Hobby the world’s

number one caravan manufacturer.

We recently assembled our 500,000th caravan. We are immensely proud of this achie-

vement, which reflects the enormous confidence our customers have in our products. This

is further emphasised by our excellent registration figures – with a market share of over

40 per cent, the Hobby Group is by far the most popular caravan manufacturer in Germa-

ny. The same is true in a number of other European countries as well.

Our success inspires us to make our caravans even better. We have done this once again

Atmosphere And comfort

Hobby caravans enjoy so much success and popu-

larity because they offer both a relaxing atmosphere

and optimum practicality. The large variety of

Hobby layouts offers the perfect living space for all

of your needs. Families can choose from numerous

alternatives with comfortable children’s beds,

while couples looking for a cosier option can’t go

wrong with our queen-size bed models. Our single-

bed models are also hugely popular. Each of our

caravans offers lots of storage room along with a

well-designed lighting system, ensuring a pleasant

atmosphere at all times. We also place great value

on the little things, such as thoughtful details: with

our new Slim Tower fridge and the large drawers in

our new kitchens, everything is easily accessible.

You’ll just love our redesigned bathroom, where em-

phasis is placed on functionality and easy cleaning.

Arguments

sAfety And comfort

Hobby is the safe choice – in every respect: the

safety coupling stabilizes the caravan against side

winds, uneven roads and any sudden steering ma-

noeuvres. The overrun braking system ensures the

caravan brakes independently whenever the towing

vehicle brakes. An automatic reversing system pre-

vents the brakes from blocking the wheels during

reversing. Since the chassis are fitted with stabili-

sing devices, high-quality tyres and hydraulic axle

shock absorbers, all Hobby caravans are allowed

to travel up to 100 km/h in Germany. Screw-down

supports at the front and rear stabilize your ca-

ravan when parked. Our larger models (from type

540) are fitted with special, pull-down, heavy-load

supports. The trailer’s nose-weight display, which

is fitted as standard to many of our models, shows

whether the caravan has been optimally loaded

or whether the centre of gravity is too far forward

or back. Hobby has also focused on ride comfort

during the best time of the year: a torsion bar

spring axle with longitudinal member technology

and a hot-dip galvanised chassis offer on-the-road

comfort and a long lifespan. And if you want to

use a Truma-Mover, which allows the caravan to be

parked remotely, Hobby also has the solution: pre-

paration for system installation is included among

the standard features and saves time, weight and

money when retrofitting.

Hobby caravans are also perfect for winter caravan-

ning. They are extremely well insulated, ensuring

the cold stays outside, while high-quality heating

systems by renowned manufacturers keep you

warm and cosy inside. Intelligent furniture units

also ensure a comfortable, pleasant climate within

the caravan. Several furniture elements have been

designed to allow air to circulate between them and

the exterior wall. Therefore, damp and mould do

not stand a chance.

On board your caravan, you are in total control: with

our operating panel, which is now available as an

option with an LED display, you can centrally con-

trol all electric devices in your caravan. Control the

lights, floor heating, fresh water fill level, HELLA

battery sensor (which, as an exception, we are only

able to offer as a special option) and more. And if

one lighting set-up is particular appealing, you can

now easily save it with the new memory function

and recall it with the push of a button at any time.

according to the latest ISO 9001:2008 standards.

The quality of our caravans is constantly monitored

and documented at fixed production stations. Only

when all quality checks have been successfully

completed are Hobby caravans made available to

the public. Our vehicles are guaranteed to be water-

tight for five years.

can be easily transformed into double beds as

required … and if children are travelling, our

layouts with bunk beds are perfect.

The hydraulic bed stowaway mechanism offers

a particularly large basin with a refreshing,

modern style. We have also worked with Thet-

ford to further optimise the WC according to the

test full moon is blacked out, allowing you to

we have focused on optimising weight. The

two featherweights weigh in at no more than

1,100 kilogrammes. A VW Golf-sized vehi-

cle can therefore be used to tow them on

The roof/wall thickness on all models is 31 mm, the floor thickness 40 mm. Deviations of up to 5% are possible in weight data due to the use of natu-ral materials. All dimensions are non-binding and may be subject to minor changes. We reserve the right to make modifications to equipment and fittings. The water supply system represents the latest technology as of 03/2009 (direc-tive 2002/72/EC).

1 Depending on the model and equipment level, the unladen vehicle may be up to 50 mm higher.

2 The technically permissible gross weight must not be exceeded under any circumstances.

3 The weight in the ready-to-travel state includes the unladen weight of the standard cara-van plus the basic equipment. The basic equipment is made up of a completely full 11 kg aluminium gas bottle, a 100 % filled fresh water tank and if applicable a toilet flush tank and cable drum. The basic equipment weight for 350 – 400 SF: 61 kg 400 SFe – 495: 62 kg, 540 – 720: 87 kg, WLU,WFU,KMF: 71 kg
