Coolant additives are not usually needed when Ashburn coolants are properly maintained and operating in a goodenvironment. However, there are situations where a coolant is allowed to sit stagnant or operate in a poor environment for extended periods of time. In these situations it may be necessary to use additives to bring thecoolant back to the correct specifications.

DRAGIN PUMP (pneumatic drum liquid vacuum)

Product Number: K-DPK200-2The Dragin Pump is a simple and inexpensive solution to machine tool sump cleanouts.The pump attaches to the small hole of a 55 gallon drum and uses compressed air toinduce vacuum. A vacuum hose (included with kit) attached to the large hole of the drumis used to remove waste coolant, metal chips, tramp oils, and sludge from the sump.Dragin Pump Kit includes: Pump and hose fittings, air control valve, safety shut-off valve,8 feet of 2" hose, rigid plastic rod, crevice vacuum tool, and vacuum head.

necessary cooling, lubrication, anti-welding,

corrosion protection and chip removal while

also providing long-term worry-free sump life

in a safe operating environment. Apex

coolants are developed to exceed these basic

requirements.

Apex coolants are formulated with Ashburn’s

pH-Z Technology to maintain a very high reserve alkalinity.

This ensures that a minimal change in pH value is maintained for an

extended period of time. This stability reduces coolant degradation and ensures that the coolant system will

function as designed.

pH-Z Technology is Ashburn’s formulating process that

ensures high reserve alkalinity, resulting in greatly

increased coolant sump life.

Apex coolants are designed with an excellent balance of

cooling and lubrication properties to provide good

surface finish in low speed applications as well as greatly

increased tool life in high speed applications.
