Harris Mackay is a boutique construction company specialising in the construction of commercial projects in New South Wales.

Market segments include Aged Care, Education and Child Care, Interior Fit-out and refurbishments, Retail and Clubs, Bulky Goods Storage, Medical/ Hospital Facilities.

The company began operations in Sydney in 2010 to manage a specific construction project and has expanded state wide to facilitate the expansion of our key client’s businesses.

Our strategy of providing a concept to completion service has enabled us to build relationships with our clients that have ensured our growth and capabilities.

INTEGRATED  MANAGEMENT  SYSTEMS

At Harris Mackay, safety is our first priority. Nothing is more important than ensuring a safe working environment for our subcontractors, project team, clients and the public.

To maintain our excellent safety record, Harris Mackay uses a comprehensive integrated management system, which links with HSE site management plans, risk assessment registers and safe work method statements implemented across all business units and across all projects.

Our HSE management system completely satisfies all legislative and WorkCover requirements and complies with all national and industry codes of practice. We also deliver every project under an AS/NZS 4801:2001 accredited system, which includes a site-specific HSE plan prepared by the project manager. This plan outlines and highlights specific procedures for each trade, during each construction phase, and must be adhered to by all Harris Mackay and subcontractor employees.

QUALITY

When it comes to quality, Harris Mackay strives to surpass client expectations and industry standards by leveraging advanced quality management technologies; using disciplined project review processes; and instilling a strong quality culture, led by the active involvement of Senior Management in every project.

Our quality management processes are supported by an externally developed integrated management system. The management system is certified to AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008.

We also believe repeat business is a clear indicator of a strong quality culture. In our 2012 financial year, 98% of annual revenue across the Harris Mackay Group was generated through repeat business.

ENVIROMNETAL MANAGEMENT

Harris Mackay consistently goes beyond legislative and regulatory environmental standards to minimise any negative impacts on the environment that might result from our workplace activities and projects.

We use a Site Environmental Management Plan (SEMP) on all our projects. Harris Mackay’s Integrated Management system is also accredited to AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004. Through ongoing review, training and auditing we ensure that it is both well understood and adopted throughout our day to day operations.

As a further commitment to our environmental work ethic we now have Greenstar Accredited professionals employed at Harris Mackay. Green Star is Australia’s trusted mark of quality for the design and construction of sustainable buildings, fitouts and communities.
