A. Remote access to your office PCNote: Administrator privilege is needed for first time access and future client upgrade

1. In your web browser, go to https:// vpn.hkecl.net / . The following screen will come up:

2. Click “Download” pass to “WebLaunch” and Log In

3. Select “1. staff” from GROUP, enter your domain logon username and password as at the office, click

on Login button, then you will see the screen as follows.

Using Microsoft Edge / Chrome

4. Click the Start AnyConnect link

5. If you see AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client page, click “Instruction” to following steps to install client

6. After installation client completed, launch the “Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client” from the Start

Menu.

7. Type vpn.hkecl.net in the box, and click connect

8. Pop up the login box, Select “1. staff” from GROUP, enter your domain logon username and password

as at the office

9. The connection status will pop up and show the result

10. The connection will show window notification bottom toolbar

11. As long as the network access connection is established, select “Start” (“開始”) -> “Accessories” , (“附屬應用程式”) -> “Remote Desktop Program” (“遠端桌面連線”) in your Windows.

12. Enter your office PC name in the “電腦” field, e.g. pc83.intra.hkedcity.net. Please refer to Appendix I

for steps to identify your PC name. Then, click “連線” and enter your office PC desktop login and

password. You will get your office PC desktop like you directly login your office PC.

* Please ensure that your office PC is not shut down and also remote desktop option is enabled

in the “Remote” tab in the property of “My Computer” of your office PC. To remotely power on

your computer, please click “Power on Your Computer” in Intranet. If you encounter any problems

on the connection, please contact System Administration Team for technical support.

13. After you have finished all your work, please right click icon which appears on the bottom toolbar

and then click Quit to close the program or VPN Disconnect to close .

14. Then, click “Logout” from the following screen. After the first setup, we need not to login to this page.

Appendix I. How to identify your PC name

1. Right Click on “This PC” (“我的電腦”) and select “property” (“內容”).

2. .The name of your PC can be found beside Full computer name(“完整電腦名稱”) on System page
