Please note that the UWCs will accept applications from candidates who have known handicaps over which they have control and which will not deteriorate significantly while they are at a UWC. The College reserves the right to require an admitted student to leave if there is any failure to disclose a chronic or medi-cal condition.

Please note that the UWCs will accept applications from candidates who have known handicaps over which they have control and which will not deteriorate significantly while they are at a UWC. 8. I have read this application for entry to a United World College made by my son/daughter/ward; we have discussed all aspects of the commitment involved and this application has my full approval. Should the application be successful, I hereby undertake for myself and for him/her to observe the rules and regulations of the College made by the Head and Governors. While my son/daughter/ward is in residence at a United World College, I wish and authorise the College to act as Guardian in my place for decisions involving his or her personal care and welfare.

I understand that under the terms of the United World Colleges' admission policy, parents may be asked to make a financial contribution to the costs of attendance, and if my son/daughter/ward is accepted, I shall make an agreed contribution to the fees.

For information, the full College fees for Li Po Chun UWC for 2011-12 will be HK$206,000 (subject to final approval by the Education Bureau of Hong Kong), but fees for 2012-13 are yet to be determined. The fees include all food and lodging costs, tuition fees, books, International Baccalaureate examination fees, and costs for the quan cai (Creativity, Action, Service) program. Not included are costs of travel during China Week and Project Week, pocket money and university application expenses. These additional expenses amount to some HK$15,000 per annum. The fees for other UWCs may be greater or less depending upon the College. If applying for a scholarship, a Financial Circumstances Form will be sent to parents/guardians for completion ONLY if the Applicant has been short-listed for panel interview.
