Re: Proposed Subdivision of Lot 2 DP369806 & Section 8 SO 44869 and Sections 9 & 10 Block III Wharekawa Survey District – Kaiaua Road, Kaiaua.
Thank you for your request regarding the requirements of a three-phase connection to our network for Lots 2. I understand existing connections are available to serve Lots 1 & 3. I am pleased to provide Counties Power’s formal offer to carry out the works required for establishment of a point of supply for the Customer connection. This offer is based on Counties Power understanding of the information provided by the Customer:

This Offer is made in accordance with the Counties Power’s Capital Contribution Policy. The terms and conditions for Counties Power carrying out the connection works are more particularly described in both the Requirements for connection to Counties Power Electricity Network below and the Conditions of Electricity Network Provision enclosed. Please ensure that you read these documents carefully.

REQUIREMENTS FOR CONNECTION TO COUNTIES POWER ELECTRICITY NETWORK
1.0 Offer
1.1 Counties Power understands that the proposed Customer's Installation will comprise the following:
A three phase 60A domestic points of connection at the road berm boundary for lot 2.
1.2 You agree to pay Counties Power a lump sum capital contribution of: $28,165.00 plus GST. Included in this offer is the:
Installation of pillar boxes in the road reserve boundary of Lot 2 at 419 Kaiaua Road;
Installation of 105 meters of low voltage cable and terminations at each end for Lot 2;
Installation of a new pole mount transformer on pole 414198;
Upgrade existing pole to 12.5m pole to allow transformer installation;
Provision for traffic control and project management.
1.3 We reserve the right to review our costing for any future design revisions
1.4 Connection and Supply Specification
Nominal Voltage at connection point 400V +/- 6%
No of Phases 3
Maximum Capacity per lot 60A
Point of connection Outgoing terminal of LV fuse carrier in pillar box;
Counties Power will own Pillar Box, Low Voltage Cable, Fuses in Road Reserve and Pole Mount Transformer;
Customer will own All Service Main cable from pillar box through to Meter board.

2.0 Construction Requirements
2.1 All works covered by this offer must be carried out in accordance with Counties Power standards and by an approved Counties Power contractor.
2.2 All contractors are to be advised that all new and existing cables onsite be treated as live and dangerous until confirmed otherwise.
3.0 Ownership
3.1 All assets installed within the vested road reserve and registered easements in favour of Counties Power will remain the property of Counties Power Ltd.
3.2 The customer requiring connection to the electricity network will be responsible for the installation and cost of the service cable between their metering point and the Network point of supply on the vested road reserve. Please see our website at http://www.countiespower.com/private-service-lines for a full explanation as to the ownership and responsibility of customers connected to private networks.
3.3 Private Service main cable must not exceed 300m in length without prior approval.
4.0 Private Service Lines
4.1 The Customer (owner of service line) must comply with all appropriate legislation, national standards, technical/engineering recommendations.
5.0 Inspection
5.1 The cost for the inspection of the house service mains is NOT covered by this offer. Inspection shall be requested by the electrician at the time service mains are laid and house is ready to be livened.
6.0 Timeframes
6.1 This offer is valid for 3 months from the above date. Terms and conditions of any new offer we make to the customer can differ from the original offer.
6.2 You will ensure that the site is ready within 1 months of contract acceptance and payment. If the site is not ready for the installation of Counties Power equipment within this time frame then we have the right to cancel the agreement and refund the payment minus a design and administration fee plus any other associated costs incurred. A new offer and agreement with an amended capital contribution payment will need to be requested via the Counties Power new connection process.
6.3 You should allow 16 Weeks’ notice to allow Counties Power to engage a contractor and order required materials. The proposed start and connection dates will be discussed with you within 3 weeks of contract acceptance and payment received.

7.0 Offer Acceptance
7.1 If these conditions are acceptable to you, please initial each page, sign the attached Contract Acceptance form and return them together with payment to Counties Power. Advance payment is required under this contract acceptance. Payment shall be made 8 weeks prior to work commencement. Such time frame is necessary for contractor engagement plus the order and delivery of materials.
7.2 A Letter of Compliance will be issued when works and requirements covered by this letter are delivered in full.
7.3 These connections are further subject to the Conditions of Electricity Network Provision enclosed.
7.4 All previous offers are withdrawn.
8.0 Confidentiality
8.1 All rights in the design, specification, plans or drawings or any other document contained or accompanying this Connection Offer belong to and remain with Counties Power and shall not be used or disclosed by the Customer or any other person without Counties Power's written consent.
8.2 All data and information acquired or reviewed by the parties in connection with this Connection Offer is confidential and shall not be divulged to any third party without the prior written consent of the other party except insofar as may be required by law.
