Receipt for this Addendum must be acknowledged by the Bidder by statement of receipt indicated on the Proposal Form. . Project will be totally complete by September 30th, 2017 with an anticipated construction

duration of forty-five (45) days. (See amended Project Summary attached to this Addendum)

3. Prequalification is required. 4. Attachment ‘B’ Unit Prices is not required. 5. Attachment C-3C - Stated Allowances and Unit Prices is not required. 6. Attachment C- 3A- LIST OF SUBCONTRACTORS AND MAJOR SUPPLIERS is to

submitted with the Bid (Attached to this Addendum). 7. The project manual will be modified to clarify that all nights and weekends will be

available to work for the contractor other than Football home games. (See amended Project Summary attached to this Addendum)

SECTION 01 23 00 - ALTERNATES PART 1 - GENERAL 1.1 Drawings and general provisions of the Contract, including General and

Supplementary Conditions and Division 1 Specification Sections, apply to this Section.

1.2 DEFINITION:

A. Alternates are defined as products, materials, equipment, systems, methods, units of work or major elements of construction that, at the Owner's option and under the terms established by the Instructions to Bidders, be selected for the work in lieu of requirements in the Technical Specifications or may be added to the Base Contract Work.

B. Alternates may or may not change the scope and general character of the

work. C. The requirements of this Section may be related to, but not to be confused

with, requirements of the Contract Documents related to "allowances", " change orders", "substitutions", and similar items.

PART 2 - SCHEDULE OF ALTERNATES 2.1 GENERAL: The description of each alternate listed below is recognized to be

abbreviated, but implies that each change shall be complete for the scope of work affected. Refer to applicable Specification Sections and Drawings for specific requirements of the work of each alternate.

2.2 ALTERNATES: A. Alternate No. 1: Install thick cut sod provided by the Owner as shown on the

Drawings and described in Section 32 18 23.27 Athletic Field Sodding and Maintenance.

B. Alternate No. 2: In lieu of installing a stone warning track in the outfield, install

synthetic turf as shown on the Drawings.
