The attachment force generated by your magnet depends on a number of factors:

the thickness of the material to be drilled through

any possible coating or paint layer present on the material

chips or other dirt, oil or grease between the magnet and the material.

The new Euroboor electric drill magnets are equipped with a sensor that measures whether the

magnet exercises sufficient attachment force to the material. The result of the measurement is

presented by means of a LED indicator on the switch panel. The ”red light” indicator warns you that

there is insufficient force to attach the magnet, while the ”green light” indicator indicates that there is

sufficient force to do so.
