HISTORY Currently at Tango Tango Netball Clubs first team was formed in 1946 (known as SA Women’s basketball) and was in the B Grade competition. First year in A Grade was 1947 First premiership was won in 1951 Located at Port Road, Woodville Due to rapid growth, Tango relocated to Alberton Moved back to Woodville and bigger premises Following continued growth, Tango moved to Renown Park In 1992/93 Delfin Realty expressed interest and subsequently sponsored Tango Netball Club and developed the new sub division of Golden Grove, citing the surrounding areas were growing rapidly with young families. In recognition of Tango’s commitment to the SA Netball Community, Delfin Realty gave the club use of the netball courts and clubroom at Wynn Vale Drive, Golden Grove. Re-located to Golden Grove in 1993 and amalgamated with the Golden Grove Firebirds 2016 - Acquired exclusive use of a clubroom and training facility at Heysen Ave, Hope Valley Who is Tango? The Tango Netball Club is the largest Premier League Netball Club in South Australia with over 400 playing members participating all year round, both Summer and Winter Seasons. . The Tango Netball Club participates in the following competitions Nine News Netball Cup State Premier League Netball Competition Adelaide Metropolitan Netball Division SA Districts Netball Association City Nights Netball Competition Nine News Netball Cup The Nine News Netball Cup is the Premier League competition in the State with all games played at Netball SA Stadium at Mile End. The Premier League is designed to provide pathways for players, coaches, and umpires to aspire to an elite level, culminating in the Adelaide Thunderbirds, SA Representation and National Representation. 8 Clubs will compete in the Premier League NNNC competition at League level and at Reserves level. Tango is one of only 8 Clubs that met the criteria to be included in the Premier League Competition, Our Club has met certain criteria in respect of Player Development, Coach Development, Financial Stability and Umpire Development across all age groups Adelaide Metropolitan Netball Division Is the strongest competition in the State for underage teams and all games are played at Netball SA Stadium during the Winter months. Approx 350 teams (over 3100 players) play on the Indoor and Outdoor courts from 27 clubs SA Districts Netball Association Is based at Golden Grove and services netball clubs in the North and North-Eastern suburbs of Adelaide. This level of competition is known as “participation level” with many children starting their netball journey when they are 7 years old. All games are played at the Golden Grove Netball Complex, Atlantis Drive, Golden Grove. There are 20 outdoor courts, and over 3000 players playing in the Summer Competition for 2015/16 from 26 Clubs. HISTORY

Currently at Tango

Tango Netball Clubs first team was formed in

1946 (known as SA Women’s basketball) and

was in the B Grade competition.

First year in A Grade was 1947

First premiership was won in 1951

Located at Port Road, Woodville

Due to rapid growth, Tango relocated to

Alberton

Moved back to Woodville and bigger premises

Following continued growth, Tango moved to Renown Park

In 1992/93 Delfin Realty expressed interest and subsequently

sponsored Tango Netball Club and developed the new sub

division of Golden Grove, citing the surrounding areas were

growing rapidly with young families.

In recognition of Tango’s commitment to the SA Netball

The Tango Netball Club contributes to the education of young people in the

North-Eastern Suburbs of Adelaide. The education is based on good sporting values,

skills development, team play and healthy participation in netball at all levels.
