PT Elnusa Tbk. was founded as PT Electronika Nusantara based on Indonesia Corporate Establishment Act No.18, dated 25th January 1969, Indonesia Corporate Capital Change No.10, dated 13th February 1969 as witnessed by notary Tan Thong Kie. Such establishment data was recorded at Republic of Indonesia Hall of Record No.35, Annex No.58, dated 2nd May 1969. PT Elnusa named by 9th September 1969.

Elnusa started as a state-owned oil and gas PT Pertaminas operations support services company. Its services include maintenance and reparation of Pertaminas vessel shipboard electronic communications equipment, navigational equipment and radar system. Oil tankers owned by other companies working under contract with Indonesias state-owned oil and gas companies were also part of Elnusa clientele. In 1999, due to competitive and developing business demand and opportunity, Elnusa initiated an internal consolidation in an effort to streamline its operations and business activities. As a result of this consolidation, Elnusa had twelve business units.

In 2001, Elnusa had its organizational structure restructured, which resulted in the transformation of its three business divisions to the following two directorates:1. Directorate of Upstream Services2. Directorate of Downstream Services3. Non-Oil and Gas Services

In 2004, Elnusa initiated a business process re-engineering which involved mergers and acquisitions. As a result, in 2006 Elnusa had fourteen business affiliations and two business portfolios. Its two primary business focus then were:1. Integrated oil and gas services2. Telematics support services In October 2007, Elnusa yet again restructured itself, this time in an effort to dedicate itself as Indonesias first integrated upstream oil and gas services company, providing a dedicated 1-stop service in Indonesia upstream oil and gas services industry. Aside from horizontal consolidation, Elnusas four oil and gas services business affiliations were consolidated into its corporate structure as well.

PT Elnusa Tbk. was officially listed at the Indonesia Stock Exchange (Bursa Efek Indonesia) on 6th February 2008. With its own brand of professionalism, transparency, management and clean & trustworthy business ethics, PT Elnusa Tbk. was ready then to take on challenges, nationally, regionally and internationally. Today, PT Elnusa Tbk. is the leader in integrated upstream oil & gas services sector serving both national and multi-national clientele.

PT Elnusa Tbk. sold all its interests in PT Jabar Energy and PT Jabar Telematika. PT Elnusa Tbk. sold all its interests in PT Infomedia Nusantara to dedicate itself as an integrated upstream oil & gas services company. For the first time since it was publicly listed, PT Elnusa Tbk. profit increased by 383% in the 3rd Quarter of 2009, and its operating profit increased by 159%. This is evidential that a focused strategy generates a positive market response.

PT Electronika Nusantara or better (unofficially) known as Elnusa, was established in Jakarta on 9th September 1969. This is also the official birthday of the company.

A new seismic data processing division was established under PT Elnusa Geosains, in partnership with Geophysical Services Inc. (GSI).

Elnusa established PT Sigma Cipta Utama which specializes in oil & gas data management and storage.

PT Elnusa Multi Industri Komputer was established and renamed PT Elnusa Telematika.PT Elnusa Rentrakom established.

PT Elnusa began its nation-wide fuel distribution business which led to the establishment of PT Elnusa Petrofin 10 years later.

Elnusa further diversified its business portfolio by publishing Yellow Pages for Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Surabaya. This led to the establishment of PT Infomedia Nusantara.

Its core business then was the maintenance and reparation of sea vessels communications equipment.This was quickly expanded by developing Integrated Communication System for Pertamina which led to the establishment of PT Elnusa Rentrakom.

A scientific data center was established providing stimulated services for reservoir and oil, particularly in optimizing refinery processes.

Elnusa won a Mecca-Medina Telephone Expansion Project, as well as other telecommunications project in Saudi Arabia.

PT Elnusa Workover Hydraulic was established, which was renamed PT Elnusa Workover Services.

PT Electronika Nusantara was officially renamed PT Elnusa.

PT Infomedia Nusantara was established to focus on Yellow Pages services. During the period that follows, majority of PT Infomedia Nusantara shares went to PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk.

PT Elnusa in partnership with PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia, established PT Patra Telekomunikasi Indonesia, a business unit dedicated to satellite communications system or VSAT.

PT Elnusa repositioned itself as a holding company to all its diversified subsidiaries.

PT Elnusa began its internal consolidation and business process review, the company decided to revert into being a private company.

PT Elnusa began its oil and gas fields ownership business when it obtained Project Sharing Contract in Bangkanai, Central Kalimantan. This led to the establishment of Elnusa Bangkanai Energy Ltd.

PT Elnusa Drilling Services was established in a bid to strengthen its integrated drilling portfolio.

PT Elnusa acquired PT Purna Bina Nusa which specialized in oil piping.

PT Elnusa established PT Jabar Energy to manage potential energy source and PT Jabar Telematika to manage potential telematics services in West Jawa.

PT Elnusa acquired PT Sigma Cipta Utama and PT Sinar Riau Drillindo.

PT Elnusa established PT Patra Nusa Data.

PT Elnusa Patra Ritel was established to support downstream oil and gas services, specializing in fuel trading.

PT Elnusa becoming an a public company (unlisted).

Elnusa acquired 25% of Elnusa Tristar Ramba Ltd.PT Elnusa yet again restructured itself, changing its status from Holding Company to Operating Company by consolidating four subsidiaries; PT Elnusa Geosains, PT Elnusa Drlling Services, PT Sinar Riau Drillindo and PT Elnusa Workover Services. PT Elnusa was now officially Indonesias first and biggest integrated upstream oil and gas services company, providing a dedicated 1-stop service in Indonesia upstream oil and gas services industry. Other data-based business subsidiaries were consolidated horizontally; PT Elnusa Telematika and PT Elnusa Rentrakom to PT Sigma Cipta Utama.

PT Elnusa was now officially PT Elnusa Tbk., after being approved by Bapepam-LK as a publicly listed company in Indonesia Stock Exchange with trading moniker ELSA. Its Initial Public Offering (IPO) allows PT Elnusa Tbk. to achieve its equity capital to develop its cooperatives, and other businesses.
