1966 is where it all started……..

1966 – LC Research and Development Group of Varian was formed

LC Development and Innovation took place every 1 to 3 years.

In the early years this was mainly by product development

In later years this has been mainly by acquisition

1971 – Model 4200 Gradient Elution Chromatograph (syringe pump), Variscan Scanning UV Detector (Techtron – Melbourne)
